I don't mind paying for the purifying of raw water into drinkable water. However, I have an issue if the company, which is own by the government, in charge of purification is making a profit out of it. It is the government's responsibilities to provide the citizens with the basic necessities.

Nowadays it is very difficult to provide good water to all citizens. As we know that water is most endangered resource of the earth now.

We don't pay for the water it's self but for the delivery system and the plants that make sure the water is safe to drink. Most times that bottled water is just tap water and we pay for the privilege of the convenience of having it bottled so we can buy it when we are out and about. javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$lbStart','')

These waters that come direct from the rivers or lakes are polluted and contaminated. And that's why we have to pay the companies that clean them up so that they are safe enough for us to drink.
I'm glad that air is still free. But it may not if we continue to pollute and contaminate the environment.

we are paying for air for breath now... compare to that buying hte water is acceptable.. see so many people saying about the exploition of nature. but who is taking care of that.. you have to come forward and you have to get your fundamental rights. then only everyone will find from you and keep thier rights in right way

the water we drink passed through a purification process, to make sure its safe for health. It's just right to pay not for the water itself, not just for the processing but for the cost of it being brought accessible to our homes.

... from raw water and then became the water that can be consumed, of course requires the production costs, right? so, according me, very reasonable if pay for water which we can drink. Or do you like the raw water?

We cant claim it as a Fundamental Human Right my friend. They would say the process for distilling it and etc.. and how they make it as a pure mineral water. And for the same we pay...
Cost wise 1 litre of water cost 15 Rupees...
I hope if you want to become rich soon, you can start a new company..
