I got my first myLot referral yesterday...

I made a first splash page at Easyhits4u and sent 2000 hits to see : I got no referral at myLot. It is my worst result with this Traffic Exchange. I don't give up : I made a little change to my splash page yesterday and I want to start another campaign. It seems very difficult to get active referrals at myLot : I think that only a few number of members are really active -- less than 5% ? -- and that you have to stay here at least a month to appreciate and love this site . I don't know what is the best way to get active referrals. I saw a task at Microworkers : join myLot and start a discussion. It would be interesting to know how many newcomers joining under this link have started two discussions . I hope that your referral will be active later. Have a nice day.

I have three referrals in Mylot, but they are not active at all. And even one of them said I was a cheater. It is not easy to find an active Mylotter. Perhaps you can try to see whether your friends are interested in it or not. As at least they will trust you. But I am not sure whether they like to post here. I love China

I got a bunch of referrals. Problem is. 95% of them are inactive. I do get the occasional super active referral though that makes me a good bit but they always seem to vanish after a while. I have no real tricks as to how I promoted Mylot. I guess perhaps I just promoted in the right money-making forums n' such. I haven't promoted Mylot in forever but I still manage to get about 5-10 new referrals each week it seems. If you want to try a new route, perhaps learning SEO(Search Engine Optimization) might be a good idea. You can make a free blogspot blog and just SEO it up and get referrals that way. You should get at least some if you do your research properly and don't target an extremely competitive keyword. The fun thing about blogspot blogs is they're free to make.

When a new user signs up through our referral link they are automatically added to our friend list. This means that we can send them a PM and welcome them and guide them as to what to do. Did you do that? We are given a huge bonus if our referrals are active so it is well worth spending time with them to get them started By the way: they are automatically added to our friend list BUT the notifier which lets us know when they start a discussion is set to 'off'. It is up to us to go and set it to 'on' so that we can respond on their discussions if they start any.

I don't know, only one of the people I have referred is currently active here. It seems to work better with friends and people I know than with people I don't know, although I did refer a few people to Yuwie who became pretty active, and I didn't know them. Your best bet is to be accurate when you represent the site, in other words don't make it out to be something it isn't, don't talk like you can buy a house with what you make here or whatever. Emphasize that it's fun, and you can earn a little money on the side, and see where it takes you. Good luck.

I find that the best way to get referrals is to blog about myLot. You can get free blogs at blogger.com and wpdirect.com (wordpress). All I do then is to simply share some of my interesting discussions on the blogs, with my myLot referral URL of course, and then sometimes people want to respond to my disccusions. They have to join or sign in to myLot to do that, and when they realize that they can get paid for having discussions, that makes it more attractive to them. I also refer to some of my discussions, or those that I get involved with on Twitter - another chat site that is free to join. Yes, it is true that most of my referrals stay inactive, but at least if they are in my friends list, I can message them about any discussions I have made and invite them to join in. It can be quite hard work sometimes, but it is quite enjoyable and rewarding when you see what you can do.. Good luck my friend... _Derek

hi I manage to make three times the minimum and without irritating 'and useless referrals. I do not have any referrals nor do I need them either, I am not here to make a hundred or thousand a week I am here to mostly have loads of fun and make enough to pay my internet cable bill each month which I do make. I do not like to depend on others who may not even really like mylot and only play around for an hour. I spend ecnough time here to make some moneu and also enjoy my many mylot friends too.

Patience, my friend, have patience. Your referral will sure. I am surprised that inspite of posting so many views, and getting so many ratings, you have your first referral only now. Surprising!! You are not active enough in promoting my lot among your friends and family. Do the referral actively and you are bound to get by dozens. By the way, I have 4 referrals and only 1 is active.

I do not know how to get refferals actullualy I nver was exactly pro at doing that. I guess the best way would be to put up a blog and increase traffic through it or something like that.

I have two referrals now but I think they are not so active as I do. It's hard to ask others to join mylot and it's hard to ask our referrals who has joined mylot to be active. Furthermore, their problem is English. Since English is not our main language in Indonesia, writing in English is difficult for most people. Even, I teach my referrals directly how to earn in mylot however, still they are not active.

It's a real bugger relying on just referrals. I'm kinda new here and I have only one referral whom I managed to convince to sign up but she's been inactive after 2days of signing up. I guess that best way to add referrals are those of your friends and family who are really interested in making money online. You can't force anybody to join of they're not interested anyway.

Getting referrals as you stated is not "easy task" as you have stated in your posted discussion. I understand your feeling as I had to resort to venturing online after losing a really long time career. Worst part is that when you first start out the rule of thumb is to involve as many friends and or family as you can. Well that is even harder you see as I send all my articles, projects, lens, blogs information and basically all my online strategies to all my friends and families and I can't even get them to at least leave a comment let alone view, so it is disheartening every time you put so much effort and can't even get them to at least try. Funny thing though remember back to your better financial years when you family and friends had fund raisers and or money making demonstrations in their homes and well you did not need anything right, but you participated, am I right? Well where are they now and you are not even asking them to put forth any money, instead to make money. HA! I have one referral who signed up a month ago, a very near and dear, close to my heart family member, well she signed up and made one post to me. That's it, never again logged in or posted a thing. Yet this is a super active FB user... So I know how you feel, and well all we can do is continue trying. Good luck to us all!

I don't have referral yet on mylot. But I prefer posting in mylot a lot. Soon enough I think I try to get some referrals. For now, I need some proof of income so that I can attract more referrals.

Well i know how you feel because i am also an amateur and no one would believe me if i told them that i had found a good way to make money online. So i just got hold of some trusted friends and told them about this site. I sent the referral link through mail and messages telling them to come join me. Though just 6 joined only one among them is active. I suggest you learn to make your own blog so that it can be viewed by all and maybe then a few interested people would join you.
