Tomorrow is my last day in the office and after that I will be a full time Real Estate Investor and Forex trader.
I just noticed that most of the people who resigned from work send a FAREWELL letter via email. I don't know if it is a tradition. Is it ok to leave without sending a FAREWELL letter?

Hello,
I remember sending a Farewell letter via email to my close friends in my former company. It's just a nice gesture of you leaving and expressing your interest that you're still here. Basically it's like showing how much you are avoiding to burn bridges. Something to that effect. But it's pretty okay if you don't send one if you don't feel like doing so.
Cheers,
Honey

Well you have any love for your colleagues and love your boss and feel that this company has given you a lot of experience, then you can write a farewell letter. But it is up to you, because we know your envirnoment of the office which you are leaving.. so, all the best for your new job.

Hi ellago. It's really up to you, but I do suggest that you do send one. However, it also depends on how much friendship you've developed with your officemates. I did the same on my last job of 3 years. I sent a short and brief farewell letter to all my friends, internal customers and as well as outside contacts. Three years is already a long time to develop lasting friendships and I felt the need to at least say farewell to all the friends I've made in the office. I got quite a lot of responses actually, but of course I only was able to read a few of them. But I'm sure it's still okay not to send one.

Your friends should know about your last working day. So you have intimate them.I think, sending mail is easily reachable to everyone with different place. Even though it is old and traditional, it is good and nice to do it.
