Oh my Philippines my Philippines, what is happening to you, what are those people who are sitting in the higher position done to you? Again another big issues to be discuss in my country.
It's all about 20 million pesos spending for chicken and burger.Wow! spending those bucks just for foods. This is the new issues between PAGCOR and the PNP.One big question is,are all those money are spend in foods or it was being put in the pocket of some greedy people? Fellow Filipinos what can you say about this?

The news said that they feed policemen for eight days. I wonder what kind of activity required them to feed policemen for eight days? I mean legitimate activity. How many policemen did they feed? This is really suspicious. To think that the one who tried to encash the check was already resigned.

i think its not only chicken and cheeseburgers maybe they also gave allowance.. think of it.. hundred thousand pesos is wasted if there is more than 1000 policemen

i agree with you elleb418!
our government should prioritize! we dont need another corrupt officials. what we need is a solid government who protects the welfare of the people. our needs.. like education, medical help, shelter, food.. food in the table or the people! not just officials!

Why chicken?
Why burger?
There's a lot of issue's need to priorities more than those chick and burgers. How about the problems in rice and flour shortage and the price is at hike? How about those children on the street that only eat 1 time a day? How about noynoys bald hair? Is there anyway that we can solve those problems?
Well there's nothing wrong spending lots of money for food but how sure are we that those bucks are really going to be in the right way?

Yes the issues here is about corruption. We don't sure that those million bucks are really used to buy foods.Anyway here in the Philippines if you know someone in that food chain or store or anything else you can ask a receipt. We just hope that those millions of money will be used in some most prioritized problem like the health care and education.

The discussion is actually about corruption, not about chicken and burgers.
Your second statement is the reason why this investigation was launched. The millions spent on those overpriced burgers and chickens could have been used to help street children, better infrastructures, etc.

I think Mcdonald's already released a statement, and they said that it was all legitimate transactions.. Although I must admit, I still can't believe they managed to spend 21M on fast food. Mcdonald's also said that it was for a span of 6 months and not just 8 days. But still, I think 21M is too big to spend on just foods.
And why fast foods? that is just so unhealthy, and expensive for that matter. No wonder our cops have big bellies, now I am enlightened.

Yes you are right.21M can already buy a franchised of a fastfood I think.I do hope that Noynoy will really solved this corruption in the government.

PAGCOR was one of the most absymally corrupt government agencies known, second only to Bureau of Customs.
It's a good thing the new officials working for PNoy are launching these investigations to find out where all those money are spent. Afterall, this is not about them this is about us simple Filipinos paying our taxes hoping it will help the country but instead helped some corrupt officials of the past admin became millionaires within several weeks.

But they do it,they used your favorite food as their means of spending millions,so they must answer for that and they must explained why spending that much.We can say they are all chickens!

There were updates on this news. They said it wasn't 8 days but 6 months. The truth will come out though, and it will all fall on those receipts from McDonalds. I still am not convinced that those were all spent on food. I mean c'mon, who the hell do they think they're fooling?

They are fooling us,but they are not thinking thats mostly of the Filipinos are now very keen.Eventhough they said they feed the policeman for 6 months, but still that million pesos is too much.

Thats really disgusting to hear, especially now when there is a crisis in some parts of the country. I really hope the people involved in that chicken and burger scandal go to prison. Why can't they just live an honest life and work hard instead of stealing the peoples money.

The conscience of those people are not really bothered what is happening around. Those are greedy people who just wanted to gain and get what they want.Shame on them, now they will answer it and hopefully those involve in that scam will go to jail.

People are always finding ways on how they could get money the easy way even if it means stealing form others. I hate people who are taking advantage just because they have the position. They might get rich but they are not aware that it can lead to thousands and thousands of people to starve. The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. The middle people suffer. Employed people are paying right taxes while the ones who had higher positions avoid them, the government would still them. Where in the world should we go to avoid this greediness?

Yes,they are the greedy once who are in the position right now.Maybe one good solutions is put them all in jail so that they will learned.
