I am 7 months pregnant and will have my ultrasound next week to find out if we are going to have a girl or a boy. Our first child is a girl so we are hoping our second will be a boy to balance since we plan to have only 2 kids.
THe thing is, we don't have any names ready yet. My husband wants an American name for our baby. He mentioned a name or two before for both boy and girl which I really do not like at all (lol). For me, I appreciate something more unique sounding. Like names coming from countries like Greece, Italy,Spain or Scandivian countries.
I hope someone can help us.

Why Europeans though they are very common names in the Philippines? American names are pretty much the same with those because American names are pretty much immigrants from Europe. By the way here are some of my suggestions for a boy: Che,Omar, Joachim, Adlai, Petro, Zenon, Calor, Brion, and Alphonse.

THanks for the help guys. Well, my husband is an NBA fun and there's 1 or 2 players there that he really admires. That's why he wants to name our baby after them which I am not in agreement.
As I have mentioned I prefer unique sounding names and American names are pretty common here.
THanks again for the help.

American names are all derived from some other country. So go back to the original root of where the name came from and see what you find. For a boy I have always liked the name Vincent James or James Vincent, it is a strong name that could be softened by calling him Vinny or Jimmy. But it is certainly a name that will need to be matched with the last name, if they do not flow it will be hard on the child.
