Since I'm usually the one taking tons of pictures at every family event, I get lots of people asking me to email them certain pictures. I just tell them I'll upload them to Face Book and they can swipe what they want. It's a lot easier for me. I also have an account on Photobook which is set to private. I'm the only one with access to those pictures. It's saved me a few times when I've accidentally deleted some treasured pictures.

Sorry. It's photobucket where I set them to private. I just keep them there for storage. I also post them on facebook for the family.

I think it's good to share photos in public sits like facebook...I share lots of pic here and I can protect my albums because facebook has lots option to give privacy your photos. You can hide it from specific people or make it available to your friends only. no one else will able to see your pic. I said it's good because at least you can get access your photos anytime even if you lost your main photos. Like I lost my laptop where I had all my pictures. but fortunately I uploaded my pictures on facebook and finally I was able to recover it. so It's really good sometimes.

For most social networks you can set your albums so that only your friends can see them, but the only way of being totally sure is keep them off the net :-) If you set the security right you should be pretty safe though, but I've stopped uploading pictures of my friends children to social networks. If I want to share them with the parents I either give them a print or send them in an e-mail.

Hi Vijay, It is up to you to make sure that you are doing correct thing when uploading photos.Suppose you are uploading your personal photos in orkut means you have to make sure that the settings are set to private like that.If you are careless means you will get cheated or worst. :) Cheers, Sakthi

I uploaded my photos in Photobucket just for back up purposes. If i like to share the pictures, I upload it in facebook so others can see but if i don't feel like sharing the photos, i just edit the privacy options and choose the person i'd like to share it with.
