I am a snorkeler and have snorkeled in many places, both on organized trips and just venturing out on my own. One of the coolest things that I think I have seen though was in a fenced in area. We went and swam with nurse sharks and stingrays(stingers had been taken out). That was a pretty cool things to do.

Never been to Hawaii but planning to soon. I have seen a variety of eels but never seen a turtle. Would love to see that. My parents actually got to see them hatch in Mexico and head to the waters. How cool is that?

I live in Europe and in the past I have snorkeled at some tropical reefs. I snorkeled for the first time at Australia's Great Barrier Reef and it was an amazing experience. That was when I was 20 to 21 years old. Then when I was 29 years old I snorkeled on the Ningaloo Reef off the coast of Western Australia. In murky water I saw a manta ray. Wow! I did plenty of snorkeling in French Polynesia. There it was so exciting to snorkel with black tipped sharks and stingrays. That was my best ever experience with snorkeling. I did some snorkeling in Samoa and the current was fast. I had seen some fantastic coral and lovely colorful fish but when I looked out I was far out to sea. I had to swim in a semi circle to get back to the beach. Oh my! That was exhausting. My last time I snorkeled was when I was 33 years old and I snorkeled in Belize with nurse sharks and stingrays. I have such very happy memories of the snorkeling that I have done.
