For some time I wanted to learning working in Photoshop but I don't know what to start with. Do I need to get any program for that? I'm very skeptical about programs because they can be tricky and often they don't come for free. Suggest me something good and useful, please.

If you wish to learn photoshop just install it and play a little with it, this manner you become familiarized with the user interface and start to experiment the tools and functions. Then search the web for tutorials, there are hundreds around, if you need something special, search specific tutorials like: "how to make a banner in photoshop" for example, this way you can learn a lot. Another option is books, courses, seminars, magazines... there are much material about pphotoshop, if you can buy a good course or book is so useful. And remember the key is practice... I start in photohop like I said before and now I'm earning money by doing works with it... Regards.

i use Photoshop sometimes. but i just use it for some simple program, like change the file size or file extension. i think you needn't to learn Photoshop, just "use it", when you come across some problem, you use it. so you can learn it. that's my suggestion
