I'm a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series fan. Carl Edwards, #99, he's my man to grab the checkered flag and flip!
So, of course, some are upset over his recent win in the other series, but being his faithful fan, I'm not the least bit upset. Sad Brad is just getting what he's owed, from my point of view. He's been known (in the Sprint, at least) to mess with a few of the drivers and I think it's about to bite him in the rearview mirror, so to speak.
Anyway, NASCAR fans, tell me who your favorite driver is. And sure, go ahead and tell me what you think of Carl's win against Brad in the Nationwide.

my favorite driver is jeff burton ( whos is long overdue for a win ) and i think the way edwards dumped keselowski for that nationwide win was rediculous. it was so blatant that brad just gave him a traditional bump and run wish is part of racing and edwards was tired of not winning so he intentionally wrecked brad for the win and almost injured him. thats just wrong.

Yes, Burton is due for a win. At the time of the Nationwide incident between Brad and Carl, they were in the #1 and #2 spots respectively, so they are both considered winners. And since the powers that be saw fit to punish both of them for the incident, I guess both of them were guilty of wrongdoing.
Thank you for your response to my post.

My top 3 favs are the 3 J's...Jeff, Jimmie and Jr. I like Carl, too...he's a nice guy with a nice mom. I can't stand Kyle Bush...he's too dangerous and, if anyone is going to get someone seriously hurt, it'll be him. I don't normally watch the Ntionwide race but I heard some folks were upset with him for taking out Brad. That's racing though.

Edwards, Martin, Johnson, and then I have to add Stewart, but only since he's changed so much since becoming an owner/driver. I like the youngun Logano, too. And Kurt Busch. And you are SO right about Kyle!
I just follow Nationwide in the news, and Edwards is better there than in the Sprint (ever since he got married, ha!) He is #2 in the Nationwide and get this... Brad is #1, so you can see why there's a lot of friction between them there right now -- they're racing for the big win!

Yes they are! I catch the Nationwide race sometimes but for the most part my husband and I stick to Sprint. I can't agree with you more about Tony...he used to be suck a jerk but he's matured a lot since becoming an owner/driver. I like Mark Martin but hasn't he retired about 3 times so far? And, yes, Logano is coming along very good...standing up for himself, too.
I saw above that you've been to Daytona. I live in Florida but haven't been there yet. My ex-husband won some kind of contest and not only got tickets to a race at Dover, but he got to drive a racecar and had pictures taken...with the car and with the driver. I forget who it was now...I usually only half listen to him when he talks. LOL!

Yes, Logano does stand up for himself and that's a good thing. I think Harvick's in fear of losing his top spot, he seems to have a lot of hostility towards Logano. Yes, the ol' man has retired a few times but keeps comin' back for more, ha!
I lived in Daytona Beach for about 2 years, truly enJOYed the area. If I had a guaranteed job there, I'd move back in a heartbeat. I also lived in Ft. Lauderdale area for 20+ years. I liked it then but don't think I could handle the congestion there anymore.

You know, I do not know anything about NASCAR, but it seems that like every other sport there are heroes and villains. I am sure hubby would get a thrill out of a NASCAR event, so who knows, I may get to go see one soon.

I bet your husband would love it, seeing as he does the car shows. I've been to two races, Daytona and Dover. Daytona was in 1998 and I honestly didn't see any of the race, hardly, as I was flippin' burgers for a rape crisis center fundraiser at the race. But at Dover, I had a blast, it was just awesome! And my guy Carl Edwards came in 2nd, behind Jimmy Johnson, and ahead of 3rd place Jeff Gordon, my date's favorite, hahaha!
I've been hooked on the Sprint Cup Series for a few years now, just follow the Nationwide in the news or on nascar.com. And you're quite right, there are definitely heroes and villains in the racing sports as well as all other sports.
