Have you ever tried wishing on a falling star? Did it ever come true or not? DO you think what they say about it becoming true is true?

I think it would be better to wish on a Rising Star rather than a star who lost her shine,, just kidding though, I think I have tried all the wishing schemes and still i have not won the lotto. How ever it is a free wish, i always do it when i see a shooting star.

I think I am the only one in the world that actually has never seen a falling or shooting star. I guess I haven't been looking hard enough.

noodlesmommy, don't worry...me too. you're not the only one who hasn't seen a falling star. in my case, I try to look at the sky when there is news of a possible meteor shower. But ever since it seems that I haven't made the right timing yet. Either the night sky is cloudy or I sleep early. Or I get back to the house when I get bothered outside by the mosquitoes. LOL

mihama, you sound just like me. I am such a wimp when it comes to being outside. I don't like bugs at all, whether they might bite or not. I hope to see one someday. I'll mark it on the calendar for sure. =)

It's fun to wish on a falling star, but this is not to be taken seriously or relied on. Some of my wishes came true, some did not... and in both cases I didn't thank or blame the falling star. My wishes come true because I work for them to happen, and I pray. Some of them don't because either I didn't strive, or God has bigger plans for me.

have tried that. also tried wishing on a lucky penny. on a wishing well. and after completing 9 nights of misa de gallo... i have only 1 wish, though.. it came true. but i don't know if it is the falling star, the wishing well, the lucky penny, or the mass that made it come true. ",)

As a devoted Catholic, I strongly believed your wish came true because you prayed for it and offered your attendance at Misa de Gallo. =)

I've never seen a falling star. Sad. As a kid, I always watch over the sky when there is a news about a certain meteor shower coming that night but I never did see one..not even one. Until now, I haven't seen a falling star. I wish I could really see those things soon.

Hi hushi22, when asking such question I recall I did do such wishes during my teenage day. we learned this from movie watched. Most of the couple of lovers tended to made wish when they noticed there was falling star in the dark sky. It's believed that wish made at that moment would come true later, if it's made right during that short moment. I wonder whether the wish I had made had come true!? Since I couldn't remember any I believe making such wish is not true for sure Happy posting

i remember when i was a kid, my cousins and i used to wait for a falling star every night. occasionally, we would see one. i don't remember now what i used to wish back then so i don't remember if they ever came true. but we had fun looking for falling stars.

Once in a while I will make a wish on a star. :-) I have seen some shooting stars, which was really cool and I was sure to make a wish on those!! I don't recall if my wishes have ever come true after wishing on a star, but I do know that it's fun, which is why I continue to do it!

yes i did. It was almost 12 years back. There was a girl in my neighbourhood she had come down from gulf on a holiday. I did have a crush on her but i did not tell her due to fear of rejection. But when i saw the falling star i wished to have haer in my life. And she proposed to me after a few days.

I just saw a shooting star a few night ago. My dad was in the other room and not feeling well so I wished he felt better. He was feeling better the next day...I don't know if it was the wish or if he just got better on his own but I figure it didn't hurt to wish for him.

I did, But It was so funny. I was about to go to school 4am in the morning when I go out to check my Dog because he barks to loud I saw a falling star outside and what I did was I immediately close my eyes and made a wish. But when I open my eyes I saw another falling star then I made another wish. Another falling star and another wish. I noticed that it's been 5 falling star and 5 wishes i made when I recognized that there was a Meteor Shower happening. (lol) Out of 5 wishes only the first wish came true and that was when I said... "I wish I have another 3 more wish" ;)
