Yes, of course it's a good idea, as long as you are really in love with the person you are marrying and vice versa. Some people get married to take revenge, others do for some reasons and not based on love. Most often those kinds of marriages don't last... and often children are the ones who suffer. So if you feel you are ready, and you are both in love with each other, then go for it.
