Was the prophet mohammed a child molester?

Whether or not Mohamed was a child molester says nothing about Muslims in general. Do you think all the child molesting Priests say anything about Catholics in general?

If an eighty-year-old man marries a 40-year-old woman, would you say she is fit to be his child just because she happens to be 40 year younger and would you call him a child molester? Which law stipulates that a man cannot marry a woman half his age? As long as a woman is past, her marriageable age there is no harm. She can marry anyone she chooses. Do not believe what others say, it is better to get the first hand information. I too heard he married a child bride, but I do not believe it to be true because I have not read it myself.

The answer to your first question is no. He did nothing that violated the cultural norms of his time. You can not apply today's norms to historical times. Since the answer to your first question is no it renders your second question mote.

Hi Mihopopcorn, I don't feel it says anything at all about Muslims in general. In fact it would be unfair to label all Muslims or any group of people based on the acts of one person. That being said, Mohammed here many many many years ago. We don't have any proof that any of the accounts of him are accurate. Also you must bear in mind that by todays standards it might be considered immoral but back then their beliefs and values were very different than by todays standards.

Mind you all Prophets are selected persons and they live in divine protection through out their lives.This is just spitting to the sky which will fall back to your own face.The final Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)was sent to protect chastity and honor of women and children.People used to bury their newly born daughters alive before his coming.He stopped this practice.He taught us not to look towards any other women with bad eyes.He had unprecedented moral values.Pl do not try to hurt feelings/sentiments of a big community of his followers.Certainly you will never find any Muslim using such words or allegations against any other Prophet of God including Moses,Jesus,Jacob and Isaac (all pbuh).We believe,love and respect them as it is part of our belief.....Pl feel the difference yourself and learn some lesson if you can......Thanks.

Just to let you know, this persons cousin who's a Muslim had been raped by their Imam or religious teacher or something. i would like to apologize if this person is some what distant from your answers. he is just asking question but I am sure he wants to know because her cousin was raped in front of the other followers. i hope you find it in your heart to understand his confusion.
