How many points will I be deducted for starting a discussion?

July 21, 2010 8:43am CST
I used to be a member of Yahoo Answers and we were deducted 5 points for asking a question. How many points are we deducted for starting a discussion on here? Also how long does it take the average user to earn their minimum payout?

We do not earn points here. We earn cents which add up to dollars. They add up depending on your participation and it is very individual. This explains the number by your name: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx#1

Hello Mysdianait. The link was useful, thanks for that. I trudged through the terms and conditions last night after joining but I didn't see anything about points etc so I just thought it was conspicuous by it's absence but I'm glad that's not the case here. It all seems clear to me now so I can concentrate on getting rich on here :)

Ehehehehe It seems that the less you concentrate on getting rich here, the sooner it happens! It is all about having fun and NOT about counting posts, numbers, discussions etc. Welcome aboard!

Yes I suppose it's a bit like watching a clock, if you concentrate on what you're doing instead and have fun it will move a lot faster :)

Hello Gold welcome to mykot Why should any point be 'DEDUCTED' at all? My lot will pay you for the efforts here, i mean starting discussions, responding to others, commenting back on the responses you get, choosing one as best etc.. You may read the FAQ too.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor

Hello Professor. It's all becoming clear now, what better way to spend time online than earning money for having fun? I'm glad I took my friend's advice and signed up. Thanks for the welcome :)

Mylot, unlike Yahoo Answers does not deduct anything from our earnings when we post discussions. Every activity we do in this site is converted into money, nothing is deducted. Though at time our discussions or responses are deleted because of some rules and regulation issues. If we fail to log-in in a span of 6 months, all our earnings will dissappear.

Hello Joiemarvic. I can't believe I wasted so much time on Yahoo Answers when I could have been on here getting paid. I don't have much time to spend on here but it's good to know what I do contribute will turn into cash :)

Yahoo answers has a weird system. I don't see the point why members are deducted points when they ask questions. It can drive away members. I'm happy that mylot is doing otherwise. That's the reason why we have a continuous flow of discussions to be answered.

Hello Ip. Yes Yahoo Answers is unfair and we don't earn anything for the work we do on that site. I don't use it now but I still have an account. Mylot is much better because we get to have a nice time online and earn money at the same time :)

Mylot is not like Yahoo answer. It isn't question and answer site but more than that. It's social site and we are here to discuss anything and having fun. If you think you got the answer for your question here, that is the benefits of being here. Your earning won't be deducted if you start discussions or questions but you will earn due to make questions. Is that unique? Yes, we are paid here both answer (respond) or question (start discussion). There are several ways to earn here. It's better if you read the guidelines and FAQs first to get more understanding about mylot.

Hello De_Toya. I've already read the guidelines as I'm a nerd, I just wondered if we actually had to forefit any gainings in order to post a discussion. It seems much better than Yahoo Answers, people put a lot of time and effort into that site and get nothing for it.

Yeah I used to be a member of that site also. But I do not think anything is taken away from us when we ask a question. Well depends on how much someone goes on here and how many referrals they have. I would have to say a month. Don't take my word for it though lol. Just depends how much work you would put into this. If all goes well then possibly 2 weeks. If you can. :S $-MrDollars-$

Hello MrDollars. I don't bother with that site now, I don't see the point of all that effort for nothing and there are too many kids on there giving people thumbs down for a laugh. Yes if we work hard on here we should get paid easily, it's possible

OH I HATE when people mess around on sites like that. More upsetting and frustrating when they use harsh and meanful words towards people. $-MrDollars-$

I guess mylot just combines all your overall activities and pay you for your participation-I dont believe there are special earnings here.
