The No 1 ranked team in Tests is not losing the match against Sri Lanka. Losing and winning is part of the game but one question which always wonder around my mind is why do Indian team is not able to produce good pace bowlers who can bowl reverse swinging balls, yorkers and bouncers with aggressive nature. Every country have one bowler who always picks wickets for them. For Team India it is bowling which is always lets us all down. Most of our pace bowlers are in injury mode or out of form. Zaheer Khan out, Ishant Sharma no variety in his bowling, like this the list will be long. Whereas Sri Lanka have 2 bowlers who can take 20 wickets in a test match. So, BCCI and selectors should always try to strengthen up bowling department and one good bowling coach is must and should. Why these issues are always ignored I wonder This problem is with Indian team from many years. When Sachin, Dravid, Laxman retire then batting too will be weak. Sehwag will always do his slogging and if it works fine, he will make a big score if not the remaining batting will be very ordinary. So what are your thoughts friends .

Hi madhu, Let them play more IPLs. They would surely better in the International matches. It's been years since India has produce any quality bowlers. When any Indian bowlers are seen in the act it seems nothing is going to happen.so patchy is the their performance. It is a pity on BCCI that they indulge more in politics and back biting than looking or shaping any good bowler to cope up against any team and wicket takers as well. The players are to blame as well. Why on earth they are more interested in showing themselves up in the TV adds? As if they are not paid by the BCCI or they are too poor to buy a bike even. they need to focus on the game rather than facing the entertaining camera. lol This time they got saved but the no.1 status is at a stake now.

I think more than anything the fact they lost in under 4 days as one day was completely washed out is what is really hurting. Also the fact that the bowlers really lacked the tooth. The difference between the draw and the loss was the fact that India could not pick the last 3 wickets of Sri Lanka who went on to add another 150 additional runs!! I think the selectors of the team will also have to take a portion of the blame and do a better job of identifying and selecting young talents. Cheers! Ram

Even our tailenders too have wacked the ball a bit but Murali did not allow them to wack, whereas our bowlers allowed Mallinga to score freely like a opening batsman. Poor bowling is the reason why India lost is the only thing I can say.

Unless and untill Dohini and the selectors realize our weakness is the bowlers it is difficult for our team to achieve successes.

In short you have pointed the weakness which the team India is facing.. If this weakness is not realized as soon as possible, India will never be able to improve or win matches much in near future.

hello, Yes it is true that losing and winning is part of the game.BCCI and selectors are not good enough to select players. They always select players of great popularity. They should give chance for young players. As world cup is nearing, it will be tough for the Indian team to com petite with other teams such as australia etc.Kris srikanth should select talented players so that the indian team will be ready to battle with other teams in the worldcup. have a good day.
