Are there any people on here aware of the late, great genius that was Elliott Smith? He was arguably the best songwriter of his generation, yet not enough people seem to be aware of just how great he was. He hit the peak of his popularity during the late 90's...he wrote a bunch of songs for the Good Will Hunting soundtrack, as he was friends with Gus Van Sant. His songs are poignant, bittersweet reflections of the human condition...He hits the nail on the head lyrically and his guitar playing is simply stunning. Sadly, he died in 2003 of a suspected suicide. Seriously, If you havent heard of this guy, look him up...If you enjoy GOOD music, you will not be dissapointed. I reccomend his debut album, Roman Candle and his Self Titled album. But his whole body of work is perfect.
