Right from the second you wake up --- your mind revolves around thoughts about YOU huuh
it never stops ...thinking about "your" family members, friends, pets, future, house, car, get togethers, boozing bla bla
How often you think of others who are complete strangers to you ? How often you offer some help to the needy ones ?
Money being spent on a Couple of drinks in a luxurious restuarant can feed a poor man's family for one complete day.I'm not kidding this has been concluded based on a survey.
So how often you booze with your friends in restuarants ? Would you mind donating that money to the needy ones than to enjoy those two pegs of scotch or any of your favourite drinks ?

I was dedicating time to a mother who lost her son 3 years ago. She has 5 kids that she has been overwhelmed with lately. I don't mind picking up her kids every now and then to give her time off. Money wise she isn't in the best situation. The only thing that is hard for me is that I have 5 kids myself. When I do go over there she usually isn't ready to have me take them: diapers, clothes, etc. Last time I got a whole hour late to church just waiting for her to get them ready. I know having alot of kids is hard but I have kids too and we usually attend church on Sunday so there is a time we have to be there. I bought diapers the last time I got them just to have on hand because I took them without diapers since she didn't have any. I can do this all day but I have my husband to consider as well. He says I can't change the world when I have so much to handle myself.

you can use your common sense to identify the ones who are in need of money

There are two people you can talk to on here that I've helped out, three actually. Not publishing names publicly though.

i think of them very often... i tell myself everyday that no matter how bad or terrible i think my situation is, there is always someone else out there who is even worst off. and yet, that guy can still get up every morning with a smile on his face.. it makes me appreciate the kind of difficulties that they do go through, and i try and do my best to help where ever i am able to

Honestly, I am more concerns on kittens than other poor ones. We belong to the poor level actually. My salary is not enough for me to help other people. I can't help myself, i do not eat sometimes at work just to make ends meet, how can I help them, How can I think about them. For me, poor people don't have to be poor people forever. They have to forget being lazy and go to the people that will help them to have jobs, so that they will be busy, they will not think they are unfortunate. They will not finished a day with complains. they have to take action and not to feel hopeless. If they take action, find jobs, and earn money little by little they will learn about life having a job. and they will appreciate every penny they will earn. Poor people should not think the government take them for granted. Government have so many work to do, have many responsibilities. They are part of it, actually, so they need to go to the office of government or the authority to ask help so that there is something that is happening to their life.
In my view, I have to think of myself first, because if I can't solve my own problem, how can I help other people? If I can easily solve my problem and find solution in a glance, then I have time for them. There are public organization that get poor people to live in their shelter, what did the poor people do, they escape, because they more like to live in the street and ask for money from the motorist. Government is ready to help them, but they are full of pride. If they are waiting for someone to give them mansion and large amount of money, well that is impossible.
I am more think that, the real problem is, some of the poor are full of pride and lazy. If they can help themselves, who can help them? no one. they have to change the way they think, they have to change their attitude. There is poor people that are really kind and it so lovely to help them, but there are some who gets angry to you when you gave them a little. So that is the reason why I do not think about them. I pity them, as much as possible when I dream of having a large amount of money I like to give some for them, but in the way my life now is, I can't barely think about them. Maybe when I am rich and my money works for me, then I allow them to knock at my door.

I often think of them dudeeeee
but just thinking of them I can do so far
because I am also in the state of helping myself....
You know this is a very nice discussion I found this day
perhaps we can address this one to the government
how many times they spend money for food in a
very expensive restaurant?
Do they never see the poor children outside
starving?

I don't drink, and I do think of others often, I even pray for others. I have to dear eldery ladies now that is constantly on my mind. I have prayed for them, one is 85 and she has just been admitted in a nursing home, the other is 90 and her family is as I write this trying to decide where to send her. The two were living together, one got sick, now they are in my prayers. I also have problems of my own but I give Honor to God first and I pray for others. There are people in this world that put God and others before themselves.

I always think about others everytime. I don't know why but I'm planning already as to where will my first salary will go, how will I part my salary for our expenses, and so on. Sometimes, I'm always daydreaming that I'm a very rich person and I'll take care of the poor ones. i don't know. Maybe because of the pity, or because I'm having my own crisis too.

Sunny there is a difference between genuinely needy, and others. I differentiate. At times though, I give to the beggars as well. Not that it makes me feel good. It is because I remember I am fortunate enough to have comfortable life, god chose to keep me away from that stage. Many of those beggars have very tragic lives. God did spare me. Feel grateful to god when I look at them and sorry for them.

I always think about others. For example if i watch tv means, i see people nearer to confirm that i am disturbing anyone by Tv.So It is our responsibility to make sure that our actions does not affect others.I think this is a basic human kind every one should follow. You can not do the thing with your own with out caring about others.

I actually think about others all the time. I have two children so I kind of have to think of them right away. I think of all the things I can do for my husband during the day and also I am starting a kindness project so I am thinking of others quite often through out the day.

Hiya sunny,
When I am doing the Dinner and Tea is when I most think of others and if they are going hungry. Again I donĀ“t always remember it. I remember it when in this House they leave Food on their plates for me to throw away.
I usually try to be as less wasteful as I can and what else I do is to try and give to Food Banks they set up here sometimes but these are People that do this on their own accord not anything to do with the Government.

How would you describe someone who is poor? For me, it's really an ambiguous term...:) But anyway, there are beggars outside my school, along the path I'm taking when I go back to my dorm... Sometimes I would give some money. Sometimes I don't. I'm more concern on the elderlies rather than those who are young or on their teens since they can already do something for their own.

I think about the ones in need, very often, especially when i am sad, if something goes wrong, so that`s when i am thinking, that i am selfish, because i dramatize my situation, when there are many people in the world, with problems bigger than mine, and i begin to feel bad, that i can`t help them, because i can`t help me.
