If you were given a chance to travel around the world in one day, what place is your first bet and why?

I would defently love to visit london first as their is a lot of landmarks and old buildings and houses.London has the big clock tower to and that would be a neat thing to go and see. Also I love the atmosphere and think that people over their dress differently than the us and Canada. Also they have good food over their to and I wouldn't mind trying it out.

I'd start from Iceland as it seems the most rugged, primordial part of the Earth. Then I'd work up through the ages, rainforests, savannah, rice paddies, The great wall etc then start through the most ancient cities right up to the present, ending in somewhere like Las Vegas :)

Yeah Vegas would be my next stop as Vegas has lots of action. They casinos would be a good bet as well all the luxury hotel suits would make it a good stop on my round trip around. Now I just have to hope i win the lotto and mabyee going around the globe would be in the realm of possibilites.Oh well it is always good to have hope and imagine what it would be like.

When I was 20 years old I did get the chance to travel around the world. My first stop was Los Angeles and it let me see some of California. I chose to go there because it was on the flight path to the Pacific Islands. I included Hawaii and Fiji on my trip. Then in Australia I had two internal flights. I did one from Sydney to Adelaide and another from Cairns to Darwin. On my way back home I went to Singapore. I used it as a gateway to Sumatra and from there I hopped on to Malaysia. I wanted to have some of the excitement of Asia.
On my trip around the world I would have preferred to go to Vancouver but then if I had I would have had to miss out on Fiji. I realized that airline I went on didn't go to some of the other islands in the South Pacific. Some on my trip when I was 29 years old I was able to fly to New Zealand stopping off at French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Samoa. I wish I had included Tonga on my trip but I didn't. I did manage to visit Vancouver this year so that makes me happy.

I'd love to start at New Zealand! It's a beautiful country like a mini version of California! I'd like to go to many places in Europe & Asia, like many don't have the time or the means to do it.
