Have You Ever Taken Life For Granted?

Have you ever thought about your life as being "boring" or something as much? I know I have. But I've gone through some of my eye opening experiences that shows life is much more than you think. If you think your life is boring, whose problem is that? Not your life's! You must be the one to get out there and take action. Its not going to come to you. If you think that I am speaking of nonsense, then one day you will see. You will be almost run over by a car and then realize how closely your life was almost just taken from you.You must do something with your life. Would you want to lay in your death bed thinking about all the things you've done in your life... nothing. Food for thought!

I think we have all taken life for granted at one time or another. We never know what tomorrow will bring. Once something is gone, it can not be recaptured. We don't seem to appreciate things in life when we should.

That is kind of what I'm trying to say in my post. Once the day is gone, you can't just decide that you didn't like what you did yesterday so you'll go back and change it. You should be doing something everyday that makes you think the next day, I like what I did yesterday..

At one time or another, i think most people take their life for granted until something tragic occurs in their lives thst cause them to appreciate that life is a gift and very, very short.I believe that at times, life can be hsrd on a lot of people, afterall some people suffer many tragedies and life altering experiences thst cause them so much pain that it becomes almost impossible to appreciate life for what it is and motivate them to move on.

This is also true, but I feel that a life experience that was tragic shouldn't stop you from doing what you want in life. If something terrible happened and you decided that you were just going to live your life as a hermit or have it uneventful, why would you want to live?

Yes, I am currently stuck in "I am so bored" phase at the moment, I have worked 19 days straight so my day consists of working then lazing around then sleeping. I really want to just get up and do something exciting like go on holiday or travel somewhere in the country for a day trip. So while you say we have to take advantage of our own lives and make them more interesting, sometimes we have things holding up back from what we would like to do. I cannot do the things that I want to do because I am working many days in a row and I am working many days in a row so I can afford essentials and hopefully have enough left to do the things I want to do when I get the chance. But for the moment, I am stuck being in a routine which is boring me at the moment.

Yes I have. I keep being reminded that I don't do or plan anything. And that life is slowly passing me buy. It's a bit hard for me, as I keep hold of the purse strings in the family. It's a bit hard for me to indulge in some activities knowing the uncertainty of the financial/economic future. I know what it is like to go through some rough times, and I just don't want me and my family to go through it again. That's why sometimes (well, most of the time), I look like I'm boring. I'm trying to change though, I try to exert effort for change. So, long as it it within my limits.

That is very good that you are at least realizing that you have a problem with what you do with your life. And it's good to see that you have a good mind to want to do better with it. You should live proud of what you've done with your life. Not because of what you didn't.

I know what you talking about you don't have to convince me of that. I am an adventurous person I will wake up in the middle of the night and take a roadtrip to a place 600km away just to go watch the sun come up. I know how to eliminate boredom, I was in a car accident last year my car was written off not through my fault, but long story short I have come to value my life more as I miss my freedom so much these days, but I guess I get to reflect even though that sounds like an old people thing to do lol. Anyway Enjoy your day or night wherever you are.

no. I believe life is too beautiful to be take for granted. It is a gift that is given to you only once so why take it for granted. Life is special. One should be happy with life and take things positively always so that you can enjoy the ride. The ride is not always smooth but that makes life even more fun and not simply monotonous. :)
