I know this may seem like a simple question to others... but I was ablaze one day and was wondering... How do our computers, say, if you don't have the Internet, keep track of the date and time perfectly even when our computers are off????

The computer has a battery who keeps that kind of information (hour, date, BIOS, ...) while your battery is chaged it works well, when it start to lose power, then your date and hour will delay and you will need to change your pc battery.

Bios does that. It has a internal system clock and tells your operating system the time and date. However, most bios chips don't calculate the exact time. They calculate the seconds so 12 midnight would be 0 and 12:01 would be 60.

like the post above it has a internal clock in it. when you look at your motherboard youll see a battery that they used on some wrist watches and such.
