Can you resist a spring roll?

I just had Chinese for lunch. I quickly realized that every time I have Chinese food, I always have spring rolls. No matter what type it is. I don’t know why, maybe it being oily or crunchy is my appeal, but I can’t seem to get enough of the stuff. I love different types, but my current favorite is the veggie type.
So when was the last time you where in a Chinese restaurant? Or when was the last time you ordered Chinese? Did you have spring rolls?

He he! Funny discussion. I can resist the temptation, and I haven't had a spring roll in about 3 years - mainly because I can rarely find ones that can be made without meat; as vegetarian egg rolls (or spring rolls - I think we are talking about the same thing, right?) Hmm. The menu item that I can NEVER resist is Cream Cheese (fried) Won Tons. OMG. Try them if you haven't. They are DELISH and a staple to my order every time I go get take out.

Oh yeah! I've tried these fried won tons. But not from a chinese restaurant. I've tried them a few times in a Vietnamese restaurant. You dip them in an orange sause which smells funky, but goes well with the wontons.
You just made me hungry. Guess what I'm having for dinner tonight?!

I love, love, love spring rolls. I had chinese the other night. Of course I had 'em. I love dipping the rolls in vinegar with onions and pepper (especially the vegetable kind).

well, around here all the spring rolls have pork and shrimp in them, and that's too much like mixing my meats - something I don't do because of my food allergies...
and I worry about corn starch, like to get mu shu because they don't use corn starch in them...

it is most often presented with pork, but is made with other meats

while it is sometimes made with corn starch, it generally isn't around here
I get it at a local restaurant that doesn't have the traditional pancakes, but so long as it has hoisin, I'm happy...
"Chinese burrito" was how I first heard it called, but they say its more like a soft taco...

mu shu?
What's that? Some sort of chinese food without meat? Is it good? I might have to remember that the next time I go to a chinese restaurant. Chinese food is a bit tricky for me. Somebody has to recommend it first because I am unfamiliar with what the dishes are called.

It's been quite a while. I get them if they come with the meal, but I don't usually order them extra.

There are other temptations that I can't resist.

Um, to tell you the truth I'm not too fond of spring rolls. I mean, I like spring rolls, and I love love Chinese food, but spring rolls are just not my favourite food, so when I go to a chinese restaurant I always order different stuff.
I don't remember how long ago was the last time I ate Chinese food, but now you made me feel like going to take some

As a matter of fact, we just ate Chinese food last night for dinner. We had Shanghai Noodles, Stir-fried shrimps and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Of course we had spring rolls. It's my favorite! In my family we each have a signature favorite dish. Like with my sister, it's fried chicken. With my dad it's Adobo. Mine is spring rolls. I like it crispy, meaty and dipped in chili garlic sauce. Even if I eat at a fast food restaurant, as long as they serve it, that's what I'm going to order. I don't even have to think about it. LOL!

That 'stir-fried shrimps' sounds divine! I bet that it goes well with fried rice and spring rolls. Hmmm, I could just taste it now. It's already bed time here, so maybe tomorrow I'd look for some Chinese food again. And maybe I'll chance upon this stir-fried shrimps.
Thanks.

It's been a while since I've been to a Chinese restaurant. There's one near my house that my siblings and I usually frequent but we haven't gone there in months because we're trying to cut back on the eating out thing. And yes, I definitely love spring rolls, especially the homemade kind. My mom's spring roll is one of my most favorite food ever. I like my rolls with pork or shrimp with lots of vegetables. It's really tasty when dipped in a peanut sauce.

I love spring rolls. I make some a lot. They're usually my favorite snacks when watching movies at home or relaxing after a long and tiring week. I don't go to Chinese restaurants much since I can cook at home. But when I want to treat myself to some really flavorful food, I go Chinese.

I went to a Chinese restaurant a few weeks ago, and yes, I actually did have a spring roll! I like spring rolls, but I don't have them every time I eat Chinese food, so I guess that means I can resist them!
