This more for discussion sake than actually application. So does anybody see anything wrong with with using a already compromised web utility (twitter) to release fake or misleading information. Twitter already is nothing more than a giant self promotion tool. Considering that companies pay bloggers to make fake posts ( Google did this in Japan)is it just par for the course? Do we own anything to our readers considering the fact that they are not actually paying for anything.

I don't understand why one would want to spend the time and effort it would take to create a fake tweet to bring a viewer to their blog when all one needs to do is spend the same time and effort to create an honest tweet about the content of their blog, their latest post, or so forth. I truly believe that reputation is important and selling oneself sells one's product. So why would I want to come across as a dishonest person?

I agree with you completely. As a poet/writer, this dubious content and manipulation of such I find rather annoying, as I would like my work to be seen/read and I have to compete with the unethical crap.
I'd realized this was for conversation purposes for the most part which is why I used 'one' as opposed to 'I' or 'you' in my response to your query.
I thank you for my very first 'Best Response' and now I feel as though I've been christened!

You should not put fake information in your Twitter Tweets. You might get kicked off Twitter for spamming, and that would not be good for your blog. Just post links to your blog entries and you'll probably see some traffic, people search for stuff on Twitter all the time I've gotten traffic on my articles on Triond because of Twitter.

fake tweet will really annoy your blog and they won't be coming back again and again to your tweet.most of them might just unfollow you..by such stuff you will be loosing your follower.why not post something on your blog which might interest your follower and they would be checking back again as soon you post something new.

Somebody might come to your blog once based on a false tweet, but will they keep doing it? Do you want to attract people one time only, or get followers who are interested in what you're posting?
