Hmmm, it is now obvious why America has so many health issues if they celebrate a National Junk Food Day! Go out and enjoy your obesity, cancer and diabetes Americans! You deserve it!

Wow, well done for losing so much weight! I bet you do feel amazingly different after that. I guess it would be a lot easier to live healthy in Thailand. My wife loved the food there! I only lost about 10 kilos, perhaps a little more, but I notice the difference in eating good foods. I know what you mean about noticing it when we eat badly. I never eat really bad junk foods, but if I have anything remotely oily, I can feel the difference these days. I must have felt like that all the time before without noticing it!

Hi snowqueen! I guess I just missed it! It is already July 22nd! It's ok, I have Junk Food Day just about every day anyway! I usually have at least one thing, well maybe not every day actually. I don't consider my cup of Italian Ices junk food, do you?lol But, I must admit that I am a "cake addict" and I love chips too! Oh, and cookies. At least I'm not interested in fast food unless it's pizza and isn't considered junk food!

Yum what a lot of Junkie delicious food. Hope you had fun. How odd we celebrate so many little things in life. But then I believe that is what life is about to celebrate. HA!

It is new to me. I haven't heard that there is such a holiday. Although junk food is not a healthy food, but I think it's OK that you don't often eat it. It's alright to eat it occasionally, after all, they are delicious:) I love China

nice avatar you have there snow... are you getting ready for a party? har har har. well some people have this national day everyday. just like my nephews they are junk food munchers and you can not believe how can they eat chips in a blink of an eye. i used to celebrate this day everyday too when i was a cola addict. it is quite interesting to see that people have a specific day for this but its okay to indulge sometimes with guilty pleasure like junk foods.

Ha ha ha! I didn't know there was a National Junk Food Day either snowqueen. That is too funny! Bummer, I missed it too! Maybe I could celebrate it tonight instead! lol Now really, being serious... if there was ONLY one day out of the whole year, or even a whole month that we ONLY ate junk food and the rest of the days we ate good nutritious food then we'd be ok. But, unfortunately, that is not the case. Americans especially, as a whole, eat wayyyy too much junk food in general. I have been eating much better lately. I have NOT gone on a diet per say because I never stick to them. What I have done for approximately the past month is just vowed to eat healthier. I have still eaten the occasional pizza, etc. But, the rest of the time I am eating healthier foods, not as much processed foods, more fruit & veggies, more whole grain, etc. It is working so far because I have lost about 5-7 pounds. Not sure how much I have lost exactly because I didn't weigh myself on the exact day I began eating better. Hopefully I can keep it up and continue to lose weight. If nothing else, I just feel better that I'm being better to my body and not stuffing it full of junk all the time.

Really? I didn't know that. So, I guess I should indulge on my favorite junkfoods like ice cream, chips, and chocolate today. Besides, it's just only for a day. :D

Oh man! I missed it! And I knew it! We went to Sub-Way last night, and I got veggies on my sandwhich. I had a feeling there was something wrong all along while I was eating my sandwhich. And when I went home and opened the cupboard, the big bag of Lays Potato Chip fell out. I should have taken it as a sign to eat it. Next year I'll be ready!
