I own a poodle dog. She is 4 yrs. old. I just trained her to sit with some beef jerky. She learned so quick. What techniques you used to train your dog?

I also did it with treats, small ones I got from a pet store. I think it is the most common and effective way!

I usually use a firm voice to let my dogs know that I AM in charge and they are not, but I'm not mean about it. I also help them to learn a trick by physically helping them do it/force them to do it. I know it's not the nicest thing to do, but I'm not MEAN about it. I gently push on the bottom of their spines to try to make them sit, and once their butts are on the ground, I give them a little chunk of a hot dog to reward them. Then I tell them to repeat the trick and if they can do it, I give them more of the hot dog, and so on. It's not the BEST way, but it's just my technique, heh...:)
