Will India draw or win this series?

i think india will make the series draw. in the remaining matches, one will be draw and the other will be win. because murali is now retired. and this match would have been made draw, buts its the poor bowling from indian side give lots of runs in the first innings. thats why india lost the match, even the rain eat one day of cricket. poor bowling from india.

Hi, Until and unless politics gets erased out within the people in BCCI India would ever be languishing like this. Why pick up bowlers who are out of form? Why select bats men who are not in good touch with the bat for a long time and struggling hard to gain it back? Why not pick up the promising players and give them a chance to show? Do you remember when Yuvraj did a class to help a match win for India? No. I too do not remember. I f you get answer to these question India would be doing well in the future or else keep on posting topic like this. I would rather wish India lost this match and Dhoni got a lesson. Hopeless thing man.

We ended up loosing the first match. I guess it was a fitting finale for Murali as he ended up with 800 wickets. But we can take heart from the fact that last time we were here in Lanka, we lost the first match and then came back to win the second match. So I am looking for a fightback from India, else their reign as no. 1 is over!! Cheers! Ram

The big concern I found out is the form of Gautham Gambhir and attitude of Yuvaraj Singh and Dhoni. When tailenders in the second innings could play more than 100 balls what is wrong with Dhoni and Yuvaraj. I do not think pitch is so bad because Sri Lankan batsmen played comfortably against Harbhajan spin. Then Why can't India batsmen. Dilshan scored 60 odd runs in ODI format type. Sachin if fails in one innings he will compensate in the second innings, same will be Dravid and Laxman. The problem lies with Dhoni and his attitude and even Yuvaraj. Ishant Sharma was unbeatenin the second innings, Indian batsmen cannot play out 90 overs of 5th day and some more overs in the 4th day.. Harbhajan bowling form is concern for me and if he do not take wickets what is the point he in the team but Indian bowling is so weak that we have no other choice but to play with him. Sehwag picked up one wicket in the 1st innings where as Harbhajan and Ohja were not that impressive.. Mitun had good debut but will he get more chances is question mark.. Lot of areas to work on in the 2nd test match.. let us see..

India really needs a fightback now.

India will win this series.The firs performance may be less.But Indians will do good in upcoming matches.Lets see.

You know India is almost on a position to lose this 1st test match.Sri lanka need just 1 wicket to keep indians all out.Malinga and Murali are their key bowlers.Apart from that,this is Murali's last test match and he's holding 799 wickets.He desperately needs this last wicket to reach the 800th mark in test cricket.If he would reach today,then he would get a new record to his name in the history of test cricket. Well it seems like India will lose this series and also the No.1 spot in Test cricket.I mean we know India's bowling attack is poor,actually its poorer due to the absence of Zaheer and Sreesanth.But i'm more tensed with their batting.Gambhir didn;t score anything.5 and 0,total of 5 runs in this match.I was expecting a lot more from him.He's got a healthy average of above 56,buy still he's playing like a lower order batsman.India should improve their bowling attach so that they can restrict their opposition to somewhat around 300,but lankans managed to score 580.
