well I'm finally taking the plunge. I'm training for my first half this fall. I have 3 races I'm interested in. The first in sept. second in oct. and third in dec. I'm just watching them all until I get further in my training to decide which one I truly want to run.
My running has been sporadic at best this season. I'm having a hard time keeping myself focused. How do you all keep yourselves going? What levels are you at now in your own training?

I know I ain't got no room to talk right now! I haven't run in 2 months but I've signed up for a 5K this Saturday! I stay focused when I can. Right now I can't run because I care for my son 24/7 but when I get an aid you can bet it's the first thing on my list. I was actually up to 8 miles but was having trouble eating right to have the energy to keep the pace. I want to work out a good system though because I will do a marathon some day!

I'm a newbie in running. I just started 4 months ago. I started out joining 3K races. Now I'm into 5k races. I try to join races every month to keep me motivated. It will be a super long time before I'll join a half marathon like you. I have to be more comfortable first with 5K races...then perhaps someday I'll progress to 10K runs.
