Funny complaints we can't ignore.

Ever since she was a baby, my eldest girl never did complain about dirts and smells in and outside the house. Now, honestly, though we always keep our house clean, smells like disinfectants, cooking, and even the occasional stench of a newly used bathroom.
However, as she grows up (and she'll turn 4 by the way in September) I cant' help but notice a change in her behavior. She now often complains about these things and just two nights ago, while I was mixing her milk, she just simply said with pure innocence in her voice, "Daddy, did you wash your hands?"

yes children are very funny in that way. My son is 6 and he recently has been into oral hygeine. Grandma came over and he said, "Grandma, did you brush your teeth?" Lol, I couldnt believe he said that!! but you know kids, they say whats on their mind lol

Kids sure are funny. But even some of their funny remarks can have some serious implications.
It's like this: at one time when my two year old son was eating his bread and milk alone by the table (yes, he loves being independent) my mother saw him and was a bit frightened that he might fall. Immediately she arranged his chair and my son just shouted something like, "Hey!" and then grumbled some incomprehensible words. What he said next was very clear, as he went down and marched towards the room... "Bad!"
My wife and my mother were laughing by the time they were talking about it when I got home from work, but I try not to laugh even if I wanted to.
Clearly, my kid got angry because he was rudely bothered while eating. But I believe he must not develop disrespecting his grandmother like that.
I already talked to my son about it and I think he understands.

I think that as children grow up they start to realize what is wrong and right in the world. My daughter is now at seven years old and has always been very anal about washing her hands. However, she doesn't seem to care about the fact that her bedroom is such a mess that I've not been able to walk into her room in months. She keeps a chair in front of the door to make it impossible for me to get into the door. Whereas on the other hand, my son is a neat freak with everything, including the fact that he would brush his teeth at least 20 times a day if I would let him.
