I used to love Saved my the Bell. It started off on Saturday mornings and I always tuned in to see waht Zach, Slater, Jessie, Kelly and the gang were going to do. The College Years were okay. The New Class sucked. I still watch reruns on TBS and TNT whenever I see them on.

I grew up on Rainbow Brite, Smurfs, Thundercats and Gummy Bears as I grew older. Even in high school I watched Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles. I don't think there is an age when you can't love cartoons.

Wow, all great shows. I remember watching all of them. I had forgot about Gummy Bears (i wish I had Gummy Juice). Darkwing Duck and Gargolyes were great, too. I also watch cartoons in high school. Ducktales was one of my favorites. I also had another but I cannot remember the name. It has Kit Skykicker, Baloo and some characters from Jungle Book.

Ah... TailSpin
Baloo flew the plan that was owned by Becky and he took care of Kit the orphan. (And sometimes Molly the daughter of Becky got an adventure)

YES!!!! That was it. I used to love that show. Cartoons today aren't what they used to be.

This discussion brings back memories of my childhood, and when I was little I had two favorite shows one was a cartoon called the ThunderCats which was about some cats who come to third earth when their home gets destroyed and they help anyone who needs it and they live by the Code of Thundara which is justice, honor, loyalty, and courage and I still like the show now,and me and my wife have both seasons on DVD and we plan on showing them to our kids when we are ready to have kids, and the other show is a non cartoon show called Walker Texas Ranger which is about a texas ranger who fights for justice and me and my wife have all but two seasons of that and we want to get the last two seasons so we can watch them.

I was a big Saved by the Bell fan too. I never did watch the New Class. I just loved the original cast. And it is nice to see that a few of them have been pretty successful in other television shows. And yes, occasionally I'll turn to TBS early in the morning, and watch some of the old episodes. Not often because if I'm up early in the morning I watch a sports show on ESPN, but I do sometimes. When I was growing up, I think my favorite show had to be Full House. I just loved John Stamos who played Uncle Jesse. And I wanted to be D.J., the oldest daughter. Also, The Cosby Show, although that went off in 1991, way earlier than Full House went off the air. The Cosby Show was a can't miss event in our house. My parents were pretty strict on what they let us watch, but that was a show they of course approved of. Thanks for bringing up the memories!

Oh, yeah Cosby Show and Full House where good ones as well. I am with you on the ESPN thing. Today if I am watching TV it is sports for me or something on Disney for my kids. Usually they win out:)

I had a lot of favorite television shows when I was growing up. My favorite above all others was the Partridge Family. I just loved hearing them sing. David Cassidy was so dreamy. I also liked the Brady bunch and gilligan's Island. Many of these shows can still be seen today if you look in the right places.

David Cassidy! You bet he was a looker!!! I just bought a littel while ago 2 of the seasons of that show and showed them to my 10 year old grand daughter... she isn't quite there to the "drool over the cute guy" stage, but she thought is was really funny and liked it was about a family

MTV had so many great shows back in the day. Now, I don't really care for many of them.
As for cartoons, I was never into Pokemon and things like that. I remember liking Ducktales a whole lot

During my younger years as a kid, it was the time where Japanese anime and other animated films were the "in" thing even in primetime and late afternoon timeslots. So I grew up watching shows like Pokemon, Mojacko, and Yu Yu Hakusho.

Again, can't relate to you on this one. Never was very much into Star Trek. I do remember somewhat a show called Battlestar Galactica that was not too bad.

We didn't have tv when I was growing up but my grandma did and my favorite was Star Trek.. hoping she would babysit us on Friday nights!
I remember Saved by the Bell as that was my daughters favorite show and agree with your diagnosis of the others.
I have recently introduced my 10 year old grand daughter to REAL tv tho...I am a huge I love Lucy fan...so I started her on that and she loves it! Laughs constantly! Then I turned her on to The Andy Griffith Show and she begs to watch that when she is here! Then just last night I introduced her to The Beverly HIllbilies... she laughed till she cried! She loves them "old shows". I have seen her watch shows like Hanna MOntana, Wizards etc and the current so called "comedies" and she watches, but doesnt' hardly ever laugh. Just goes to show, classic comedy is the best for any age at any time!

Forgot.. just before The Beverly Hillbilies... I treated her to Gomer Pyle USMC...she couldn't stop laughing! I have all these box sets and I enjoy watching them to! Seldom does the tv actually go on for viewing current shows!

I love those old shows. Andy Griffith is a favorite of mine and an all time classic. The Beverly Hillbillies was a great show, too.
Do you remember Busom Buddies with Tom Hanks. That show was pretty funny

Oh my that is seriously a hard one because I got a bunch of favorites. If we talking old school cartoons, definitely Thundercats, Voltron, G-Force, Dragonball, and the Bugs Bunny and Daffy Show when ABC used to show a segment called One Saturday Morning. I used to enjoy sitting in my jammies with a bowl of cereal watching that and then would change over to WGN for Soul Train or VH1 for American Bandstand. When I got older it was Law and Order and watching shows on TVLand like M*A*S*H, Sandford and Son, The Jeffersons, Good Times etc. I did watch Saved by the Bell when I was in grammar school and had a serious crush Mario Lopez as Slater. Yup, good times!

I loved the cartoons that were on Nickelodeon in the 90's, like Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Hay Arnold, Wild Thornberries and Tiny Toons- they were a huge past of my childhood.
My absolute favorite was probably Aaah!! Real Monsters. I was talking about these nostalgic cartoons with my friend the other day, and when the Mosters show came up, he said "I remember you really, really liked that show." Then I revealed how the show's characters were involved in one of my [many] tattoos. w

Rocko's Modern Life. I had a college professor that was shaped just like the cow in the show. A round ball with arms, legs and a head sticking out:)

One of my favorite shows growing up was Family Ties with Michael J. Fox. I really liked the issues they covered and Alex P. Keaton was a great character. I think a lot of boys wanted to be him.
