Taho is the famous Filipino term for this dessert that is also known as tau or tahu in both countries, Malaysia and Indonesia. Thus, this healthy food can also be found in Taiwan, Thailand, Hongkong and Singapore. It is based with the protein rich soybean. This dessert is an all time favorite of Asians, especially Filipinos. Folks have made it in many different ways. One i know most people love is the chocolate flavored taho.

Taho is made of soya beans. I tried one time to look for recipe on how to make taho because I wanted to make my own. But it was so complicated and I thought it would take me years before I could ever perfect making my own taho. Why would I bother, I told myself. I could just buy and be satisfied without going through all that complicated procedures.
But sorry for you dear because there is no taho in your area. Well I can't really help you in this regard. Nevertheless, making arnibal is just so simple. It takes just water and sugar. Mix the two according to your desired sweetness then boil the mixture according to your desired consistency and presto...you have your arnibal. But how could you enjoy your arnibal without the taho?

taho is from soy beans, they also said that if theres still taho left they make it as tofu. arnibal makes the taho taste delicious as without it then you will not appreciate the taste of taho, so if i buy taho i requested for more arnibal. i love taho specially when i was a child, but when i saw in television on how they do nor prepare it i lost my appetite in it so i really dont want to eat it anymore even if its delicious.

Haha.. It's funny that you miss taho.. Anyway, I like that food too. I'm not so sure how taho is made, I just know that it's made of soya. On the other hand, it's very easy to make arnibal. Just boil water (the amount you prefer) in a casserole, and put as many brown sugar as you want depending on the texture. Example, if you want thick arnibal, you have to increase the amount of brown sugar. Then, put banana syrup if you have (saw this from tv, said that it's the secret of Goldilocks' sago't gulaman :P) ...
