Do you think teachers have favoritism among their students? Were you favored by any of your teachers when you were still studying?

I would say every teacher ahs their favorite students for all time, I never been the apple of the eye of my female teachers but I am with my male teachers, I am more favored by our male teachers before when I was in high school, I used to chill and spend my break time in my dean's office with my fellow school mates that are seniors than me. It's fun but not with my female teacher coz I think I'm a devil of their eye haha:))

Why do you think you are a "devil" in your female teacher's eyes? Were all the students that spent break time in the "dean's" office female?

I had a teacher in college who exercised favoritism in his class. He was a g*y teacher and he was very interested in giving attention to my male classmates. They were his favorite. And I hate to think about it. I didnt study in his subject that's why I also had a very low grade in his class.

Poor lady, I can understand how you might feel that way. Did you ever confront him face to face on the matter?

Of course teachers have favourites. They are just not allowed to show it. I was a teacher its hard not to have a favorite especially if some of your students are little devils and some are angels or at least try to be.

Of course teachers have their favorites. Some kids are more "the perfect student." While others are "trouble makers." If you turn in your work on time all the time and always turn in your home work, you're sure to be put on the top of their list. You get benefits being a teacher's pet. They'll be more lenient on when you turn in an assignment a couple of days lat. Just as long as you don't take advantage of your leniency :)

To me that is a "LAZY" teacher. I say that because the students with learning problems or personality problems are the ones that need the most attention and therefore the teacher should spend more time with that group. Don't You think so?

Hi "...aphrodite" Yes I can happily say. I still remember her name. She was my fourth grade teacher and I had a big fasination in her. "Puppy Love" we call it in America. I can remember I would clean the then, "black boards" for her and come in from recess early to pass out papers or books for the next lesson. Needless to say that was one of my best years in elementary school. Another of my teachers I was the "pet" was my english teacher whom I had english three years (6,7,and 8th grades), in a row. She is the reason I speak and write pretty good english today. She really was a good teacher. I missed her when I went to jr. high school. Who was your favorite or you were pet for?

If the teachers have his favorite pupils, but often this special fondness the own pupils earn it, sometimes in good law and other times him absorbing the averages. In my case they never favored me but it is true that was removing better with some teachers and there were others that could see them.

We put our emotions toward everything. It's natural for teachers to do the same to their students. If you think about it, do you like a kid that's really smart, listen to the lecture, and get good grades or the kids who don't care about education at all. And yes, I'm one of the teacher's pet in school. I get good grades most of the time and I care about learning because I understand the importance. The teachers let me slide with things that the other students didn't. Like turning in my homework late or coming late to class once in a while. They also believe my words more, which I sometimes used to escape from problems.

Isn't that being "dishonest" and actually taking advantage of his/her belief in you?
