I remember the first time that I have an banana split was in Canada when I was still eighteen years old.I went to an ice cream shop with my classmates and enjoy the nice banana split with different kinds of topping under the snow.It was in a winter time and ice cream seems to be more excited to be eaten in a cold weather. We carried the ice cream and enjoy it during the sanow fall and watched the snow flowers fell down on the ice cream and it was so beautiful. Each time when I ate some ice cream, the painful feeling from inside of my heart seems to be reduce a bit and I don't know why.Perhaps you can tell me why and share with me about your experience.

That is a very touching rendition of a very important and inspiring time in your life. It seems that thinking about a time when nature seemed so beautiful, life simple, and enjoying the pleasures of life has been a form of therapy for you over the years. I think that it is very possible for past memories to relieve the present stresses in an individual's life. Your tale reminds me of my youth in the Bronx New York USA in the morning after a snowfall during the night the children would run outside and play in the snow. I think the way you felt then is similar to the way i felt when i would go out in the snow and catch a snowflake on my tongue. These memories also help me deal with the ills of life and seem like painkillers to me. Good memories will always reduce stress and thereby relieve pain.

Yes, I really think so, I remember when I was in high school and whenever I'm in deep Sh**t Or maybe someone made me feel realy down, I always ask my sister to go out with me and eat ice cream, I felt like it is some how an anti-depressant, The only difference is that This is s delicious way and also a little fatty. But it still works for me until now. The feel-good tasty ice cream helps reduce pain somehow. Works wonders for my children to0. I'm just careful not to over-give them.

Yeah,I think so.If icecream is on your favourite food list,it is a certain thing to reduce your pain when you eat it.I think this rule isn't suitable for those who dislike eating icecream. However,For me, I like eating icecream,so many kinds of flavors for me to choose.Eating icecream is absolutely enjoyable for me.

It sounds to me that you had a rely great memory of your first time eating ice cream. That always makes doing some thing better. I remember my first Sunday ice cream. My mom, sister and I went to friendly's and I looked at the menu and could not beleve my eyes it was the most amazing thing i ever seen and then the water came and i asked what we wanted and i was told how ever i wanted it. That was the coolest thing ever to me.

I guess ice cream helps to lessen your focus on whats hurting you. Its a good example of saying that no matter how down or hurt you are there are still simple things in life that could make you smile and forget the pain for a little while, may it be ice cream or any other. The fact that the ice cream is cold and tasty we could say it can really grab ones attention

It is not just ice cream but any activity that gives us happiness certainly reduces whatever pain we may go through. You seem to have got some joy eating that ice cream and it is sure to reduce whatever painful feeling you may have inside of you.

I enjoy eating ice cream specially during summer when the weather is too hot. Its refreshing taste brings comfort to a humid feeling. However, i won't be able to experience how it feels eating it on a freezing weather as we don't have winter here in our country and you're lucky to personally experience the difference.

yes,i do think that eating ice cream could lessen up our bad feelings inside of us.it
turns our mood in a light way.leaving us to easen up troubled feelings inside.
i guess,it's not because of ice cream,it's the enjoyment the cold food is giving us.
for some reason i also can't find words to explain it,but yeah, our moods turn to lighten when eating ice cream.it cools down our heart and mind for us to cheer up for a while.
that's why the say,if you feel bad,go grab an ice cream!

When people feel bad sugar in general, for a short time, makes them feel better. That's why when women get upset the first thing that reach for is chocolate. Your experience may be connected with the sugar in the banana split or it may be connected with the memory of your first banana split.

Yes, definitely. If I'm suffering from headache, one cup of ice cream can make me feel better. It's proven. Instead of taking medicines, I just opted to have ice cream since it really helps a lot.

Hello Wildlittlefan. Ice cream can be a comfort food in the same way as chocolate can. When we feel unhappy or bored it can cheer us up. I don't eat ice cream in the winter though.
