We have been to many beaches around the world, but I would have to say that Montego Bay in Jamaica would have to be the best. It has sandy white beach and the water was like glass, so clear and so calm. It looked like you could go out miles and only be up to your waste. Great snorkeling.

Yes, the Atlantic does have cold water. Where you really looking for wild horses? That actually sounds pretty fun, too. I have always wanted to go to Africa or Australia on a Safari trip. Even South America would be cool to do something like that. Looking for wild horses sounds fun, too

Never been there. I am suprised that a beach in the Atlantic is mentioned. The waters usually are not too clear.

I have never been out of my country although I really wanted to. The best beach that I have been to is in Bantayan Island, Cebu Philippines. But I will be visiting Boracay, Philippines this coming November and Boracay actually made it to Conde Naste top travel destinations so it must be really beautiful.

I understand that the Phillipnes has many beautiful beaches after hearing from people on here, but I have never heard of many people in the states considering the Phillipines as a vacation destination. Is it a highly travled tourest spot?

The best beach I have been on is in Western Samoa in the South Pacific Ocean. It is called Lalamano Beach. It is opposite an island I visited when I was there and that is called Namua Island. So Lalamano Beach is made from white sand and it has many palm trees. The ocean is clear and delightfully warm to bathe in. The islands off the coast look very picturesque and it was charming to stay on Namua Island. The snorkeling around the coral reef was excellent. In the Seychelles I saw countless gorgeous looking palm fringed beaches.

I haven't been to any nice beaches abroad. Considering I've only been to a few countries. The Arabian Gulf was good for harvesting clams, though. LOL! But here in the Philippines, the best beach that I've been to was Maira-ira Cove in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. It's not that famous yet that's why there are only a few people to share the beach with. There's white sand and the water is clear, it's like swimming in a pool. It's a good place for snorkeling too. If the weather is fine, as it is usually here, there are hardly any waves. But if there's a storm, the waves are good for surfing.

Depends on what you are looking for--beaches on the northern atlantic can be spectacular--especially during, or right before or after a storm. The waves are intense and are quite awesome to watch. But even on calm days the water is cold, and often very rough, and the beaches can be rocky.
