why is it important to have extra money?

It's basically human nature. We are like funnels, just never really satisfied with anything. It's usually the thing that you don't have which one would pursue relentlessly.

I think the reason is that there are always tons of holes and places you can put any extra cash in, so there are very few people who would actually say no to some. Personally, I need to have savings in order to feel secure, so I use most of my extra money for savings, I deposit it into my savings account, where it sits and keeps me feeling more secure in case something happens.

Well, we need more money to pay down our debt and be able to buy a house. Love is very important, but we also need a stable life, and that requires money.

true... you cannot buy food with love . lol we need extra money for emergency cases, when on gets sick and needs to be brought to the hospital or buy medicines, or if we lose our job then we still have money to buy food, and a place to stay. sure love is important, that makes people feel happy, contented...etc. but money is also equally important in order to survive.

It is important to have extra money to buy extra things and for emergencies. Extra things would be extra clothes, gifts, sudden dine out or just being able to buy something that you suddenly saw at the mall.

we all need love in our life to give us inspiration. but then, we also need money for our needs. there has to be a balance between the two. we can't choose one and neglect the other.
