Poor Charice

Poor Charice. Five days after her botox procedure, it seems that the world is not yet ready to embrace a young singer who went under the needle at such a young age. Media was invited to cover the 30 minute procedure at Belo Medical Clinic. According to Charice, it was one their major preparations so that she would 'look fresh on camera'. However, it seems that the international backlash her decision brought her is more negative than positive. New York Magazine said that Charice "missed" Glee's message. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton called the decision "SICK". In addition, a lot of Twitter posts gave several negative opinions on her decision. Poor Charice. I like watching the TV series Glee. And I was personally excited that a fellow Filipina would take part in its second season. However, when I read on the news that she underwent a botox procedure as part of her Glee preparations, I didn't know if I should take it positively or negatively. I do understand the pressure she is in since it would be her first international TV show. But I too don't think that it's time for her to undergo the botox procedure at such a young age. She even had it publicized by media and her doctor said that it was to make her 'naturally round face more narrow'. She obviously got more haters after this. She should have at least said first that it was for health reasons to remove the pain from her jaw problem. Now, people are calling her insecure and silly for trying to change her appearance. What about you, what do you think of this?

She is not the first celebrity who undergo this procedure. I don't see any reason to hate her. She is a celebrity so she just needs to be presentable all the time. This is not a major surgery, just like what Michael Jackson did. I'm not against what she did as long as she is still talented and she didn't change her attitude. It's worst if she gets arrogant and boastful than having botox procedure.

Yes, that is true that a lot of celebrities do it all the time but I'm just bothered by all these negative comments about her. And I don't hate her. In fact, I recognize that she has a great voice and her talent would really bring her to even greater heights. I just hope that she doesn't get more of these surgical procedures. The natural look is always better and I guess people would still follow her no matter how she looks as long as she retains the talent and the heart for what she does. Anyway, I guess people would soon forget when she gets to show her great talent on Glee. Go Charice! Fighting!

Yeah, you're right on the health part... The problem is most people associate botox with cosmetic surgical procedures Trivia: Did you know that you can eliminate hydorpalma (excessive sweating of the hands) by undergoing botox...

Blame it on BELO. I think she underwent BOTOX treatment without really thinking of the consequences....even sharing with the media what procedure she was having....Probably she thought that BOTOX was an ordinary procedure like diamond peel. I wonder if she got reprimanded by her US agent? ha!ha! Initially she and BELO said that the BOTOX was to make her round face smaller....but her US publicist said that it was for the treatment of her TMJ pain....They're trying to clean up her image already! Really it's all BELO's fault.

Yeah, if you really think about it, it's Belo's fault for saying that it was to make her naturally round face more narrow. That explanation really sounded like Charice was not happy with her "naturally round face" hence she needed to have the botox treatment "to look fresh". It's weird really.
