--for you father on his birthday, and if you do not have a very great salary; what would you opt. I'll do some more clarifications: See, the man really wants a cell phone, but he doesn't know which one to buy so he asks you for opinion. You tell him that you are not sure and will ask your friends for opinion- secretly thinking that you would buy him a phone for his b'day which is in this weekend. That would be a surprise and something cool to do! Got the picture? Now don't tell that you won't buy him anything! That's just too rude. Go Ahead, Share and enjoy!

ebook_freak, I believe there are certain mobile service providers in India who will provide free mobile phones (certain models) when you sign up their mobile service plan. You may want to check around your local service providers like Vodafone or similar. Have a nice day.

Hi Skysuccess, I have heard of many offers with vodafone, airtel etc, but I don't think they provide absolutely free mobiles. But Relaince mobiles does something like that. But the offers for which they ask to sign up is worser than buying a new mobile! Well, I was considering purchasing a Nokia and even went through some stuff, but I can't really decide on which one to buy... Happy mylotting, Ajith.

I will buy a simple cellphone with big screen and big fonts for my father. Because the complicated smartphone is not suitable for him. He will just find it frustrating. All he needs it to make a call and read the SMS. Other options are nothing important for him. And big screen and fonts will make him feel comfortable to read. I love China

Very good thought. Actually, that was exactly the one which I was thinking would be suitable. Large fonts and simple operation. That would be fine. You have my gratitude for responding to my discussion. Regards, Ajith. Happy mylotting!
