My friend bought a very expensive gift, about a hundred dollars or so, for his girl's birthday. But just before his girl's birthday, he found out that a secret admirer of her girl just gave her the same gift that he was about to give. He did not give that gift to her anymore. I don't know what he did with it. So, for you, have you spent so much on something that you ended up regretting it?

Ouch! That's so painful. Pretty sure your friend's heart was torn into pieces. I haven't bought anything so expensive to my girl. I usually give her a handmade gifts. She appreciate it much than any gifts that can be bought somewhere.
Did your friend save the money for months just to buy that gift? I hope the girl didn't accept the present because she will unconsciously hurt his boyfriends ego. Maybe your friend kept the phone or perhaps it was already crashed into pieces? hope not.

It's an expensive bag. I don't know what he did with it. Maybe he gave it to his mom. :p Just kidding. For me I'll still give it. But I don't usually give expensive items to my girl. When I spent too much, we spend it on dating, eating out, watching movies, anything we can do together. For me, I like to give my girl all the precious memories I can give to her. Sometimes I give items to her, but mostly we just go out and spend time together.

Anyway, maybe your friend sell it on ebay.Maybe he kept it and waited for the right moment to tell her girl about it. I think he still recovering and gathering some more strength.

On my sister marriage I bought a pair of gift which is quite expensive and I know no one brought such type of gift as it is special for them.My uncle call me and he ask me to packaged his gift,when I open his bag I found the same thing.For this things I regret a lot because my friend told me to take another one but I refuse it. I gave those gift to them because I bought for them only.

I spent so much for my partner's birthday but I didn't end up regretting it. Lucky on my part because I have a partner that is really contented with every gift that I will give to him. Even how simple and how cheap it is as long as I am the one who gave it him he really treasure it. On the case of your friend maybe I will not keep the present for my girlfriend because of that admirer. Why?simply because it cost too much so it means that I saved a lot of money just to buy it, second it's comes from my heart and I won't let any person destroy the moment that I feel on giving the gift to my special girl. Lastly, I wont do it because if I did, it's just saying that I am letting my girlfriend fall in love with that stranger.

As long as I love, I won't regret for the spent so much on something, whether she has got another one or not.So I will gift whatever I have bought for her

As saying good friend will remember your birthday and a great friend will forget how old you are.I wont regret of buying a expensive gift-to offer to my girlfriend.No matter whether the gift is same or not but the value of a friend will not be same.
