I see nothing wrong with those kind of guys... I mean.. staying at home for weekends.
but I think "famale otaku" is the ones that doesn't have any work and not actually going out of their house AT ALL!! I think they are the ones that are afraid of people so they just lock themselves out of human contacts.
YOU'RE GUYS for crying out loud! make yourself useful even if you want to just stay at home. help your parents on house chores or do online work for a living! lol! but really, I don't see anything wrong about guys staying at home, just as long as they're not sleeping all day and making their belly grow huge and stuff. ^.^

Dear Shinyqui, ^.^
hey, chillax... haven't you read my response?? I said I THINK "famale otaku" are the ones that doesn't have any work and not actually going out of their house AT ALL! if I'm not mistaken, they are the ones featured in the Welcome to NHK manga/anime (if you are watching one...)
And another thing... I also said that I see NOTHING wrong with those guys who were home boys JUST AS LONG AS they don't sleep all day.... I am not referring to YOU by any means... as you noticed... We both have a different definition of the term "famele otaku"... TSK! ^.^
it's good to know that you're the home buddy who still work around the house. Keep up the good work! ^.^

Generally people become tired after working 12 hours daily for 5 days, that's why they prefer to rest at home instead of going somewhere in the weekends.
They prefer to sleep, watching television and reading newspaper. It reduces their tiredness and make them fresh for new Monday.

Actually I am quite homely. I can just stay at home
sleeping, reading newspaper and on the internet.
But since I am married and having a family, weekend
will be with family going out for a movie, a meal
outside and just window shopping.
I personally think that we need to go out of our house
and see the world outside, the actual physical world.
Not facing our computer monitor, cyberworld which is
very entertaining too. We really need some fresh air
outside, realx and unwind with the physical world to
stay healthy . We need to interact with our
friends, real friends for an occasion reunion or a
get-together. Yes, tweeting and send message to each other
via tweeter, sms and email is a convenient way to keep
in touch BUT real interaction is needed once in awhile.

I consider myself as a person who like to stay at home. Working five days a week is very tiring and staying home is very relaxing. I can keep myself busy by logging in to the internet or playing games and try to make some money on mylot. I try not to go out because i'm trying to save money for my parents...however when i feel like wanting to go out, i just go...

As an older person, my years of going out on weekends has become limited mostly because I choose to stay home and rest from the toils of everyday life. Staying home has become quite enjoyable to me since I get time do the things i enjoy doing at home. Staying home weekends does not necessarily mean one has to be lonely. One can have family or friends over, make those extra long phone calls to loved ones, and make your house a home. Doing chores like rearranging furniture and watering the plants can be good occupational therapy.
