As a child, did you daydream about what you would be when you grew up? how do you feel about those ambitions now? are you confused about how you will support yourself as an adult? Career decision making is one of the major challenge young people faces..on the other hand, career might be the last thing on your mind right now..Imagine that you are planning a journey that will take you many miles from home. Probably, you would first consult a map to determine the best route. it is similar with planning your future.. now when you rate from 100%..what percentage are you now in your dream about to reach?

i am happy for you Prime! you already half of it with your dreams..but my questions is are you satisfy enough or are you happy with it? because sometimes our happiness separated to our goals in life..there are many achiever but yet they are not happy even they fulfill already there dreams..sometime we have to check to our self, what makes us to be happy and satisfy? we really work hard to achieve all our dreams to think that this will make us to be happy, never thought that there is a simple way to make us happy..to find our own happiness..sometimes we neglect all the opportunity to become happy because of something we want to achieved..but when we got there we found out that we are not happy..why? because this things cannot make us to be happy..there are other things that will make us to be happy and not what we choose to be..get it Prime? so lets meditate yourself and think what is your first priority in life?..why you have to do this? what is all this things all about? why are you work hard? what are those things can make you happy?..

i once dreamed of being a doctor, but when i reached college i realize its not really the profession i wanted to pursue--it is just ironic because things from the past that i did not plan seems to be where i am heading now(example career to pursue, kind of job, age of settling down, etc things like that) and things i already have plan for don't actually happen. Right now, i just let God give me guidance and show me the path where he wants me to take

sometimes there are things that we wanna be when were going old..but we don't know that God has a plan for us..don't you worry, even if you don't achieved those all of your dreams maybe there is other thing better as you want..where you will be happy and satisfy..

well this is funny question becuase i guess i'm already grown up but i'm still asking myself of the same question. most of the time at least. i guess it's enough when you have work, smile most of the time, laugh at someone's jokes and you get to spend time with yourself doing nothing. but sometimes in between, i get to ask whatelse is there for me or do i want something else? i'm feeling empty sometimes but food can relieve it. maybe i'm just bored. maybe i just have to go with the flow.. i don't know..

yes, funny but true..why won't you meditate yourself what do you want to do to your life..why we have to work hard?..or maybe you achieved already what you want to your life..sometimes a simple things makes as a simple happiness and satisfaction, that's is why we have to ask for our self what more?..

Get a piece of paper. Write down all the things you might want to do. No ideas?? Look in the yellow pages. Search the internet. After you have a list, go visit those already doing it. Not only will you gain knowledge of whether you might want to do it, they will know all the tricks of the trade. Relax and work on it a bit. Life has a funny way of placing you just where you need to be.

yap..but if we have our goals and prospective in life at least we know why we work hard because of we want to achieve of somethings we want to our life..at least we walk with destination..we know where we are going through..don't make life so easy as can be because the truth is our life is full of ups and down..

To be honest i think i'm probably about 75% there. I always wanted to make a difference in someones life, and to be a wife and mother. I'm a mother of the most beautiful lil one and a soon to be wife of a wonderful man, and I'm so much happier with them than i ever dreamed. My plans are simple, to live life simply and honestly, to teach my child that she is loved unconditionally, and to marry the man of my dreams (her Daddy). I thought I'd have a career, but now my career dreams have changed, I have the best job out of them all, being a stay at home Mom.

being a mother our number one aims to our children is have a brighter future to them..we really work hard in order to give them what they want and to provide them a good education..an aside from that we do all things to mold them to be a good person, to have courage and strength to face for their own their battle someday..

I'm still 18 now and I'm facing the exactly same situation.sometimes we see those romance from movies then are poured cold water by adults that real life in hard, you need to work hard.In a way, I think I'm a mistrue of idealisic and realistic. As we all known, most people have not achieved their dreams dreamt when they were kids.maybe we just need to accept the fact, and try to be a bread earner.to be honest,I'm really confused about that recently

i agree with you. when i was a child i wanted to be a pilot. when i grew up a bit then i wanted to go to NASA and be an astronaut. then i wanted to be a rockstar and formed a band for a few years of my college. and now when my college is ended i want to be a game programmer. i don't know where my life is taking me or i can say where i am taking my life i want to be serious about my carrier but don't know how to be i still daydream a lot and live in a fantasy world of my own but when i realize that it's just a fantasy then i find myself alone in the darkness of not knowing what i am ?

why we leave here on this earth because of a purpose..why don't ask from God to know what His will for you? Ask Him to light your path so that you know where are going too..sometimes because of our failures, we loss our hope and make our life so vulnerable and complicated..but this is not the will of God..we experience this in order to grew up and to become as a whole..

I did not seriously daydream what I wanted to be when I grow up when i was a kid. And this career that i am into right now is never one of the dreams i had when i was a kid. but as i went through life, i just came upon this field and like it and loved it. To me it was a combination of everything that i wanted and i am happy where i am. I know it may be a little hard for now because i am still starting with another period in life which is actually establishing a stable job. But what i can suggest for those who wonder what they will be in the future, is just to discover what your wants and interests are in life and just take things one step at a time. :) enjoy the moment. row your boat gently down the stream merrily. :)

well your right! we have to check first what we want to be..and before we make a move just see to it that this is what we want, so that no matter what happen we can not blame any-one, when we fail at least we try..and then continue for another journey..your right that we have to enjoy life..life is too short, so as long as its there, we have to enjoy it..

I think I am not still building up the next 20% of my future plans, I am currently a college student and now preparing myself for what had God planned for my future. It is really a complicated task for very young individuals like me to start planning for ourselves, especially now that we don't have enough experiences in life, like formal taking of jobs, attending different employment interviews, handling big moneys and much complex responsibilities that we have not yet encounter, but will soon enough. But to try to start a one, even just it is a simple goals, helps me to practice my analytical skills and decision makings more liable. there are also seminars that we can attend that orients on how to make the basic steps for career planning that might help. there are books that may inspire you to continue on striving for your dreams, ambitions and goals in life, there is no borders in pursuing what you really want for your life. God will provide in the right place and in the right time so we should prepared ourselves for the coming of it. But the best advice that i can give to young people and professionals that still have unfulfilled desires, hold on to God, keep in touch with him and He will show and light your way through it. God bless us!

i would rate 19%, looking 20 years back i envisioned myself moving people from one continent to another, yes i once dreamed of becoming a pilot on a commercial plane. But now that i am 20 years closer to becoming a senior citizen i am still wondering how it is being a pilot. So sad that i failed, i felt hopeless and maybe i would have one of my grandson fulfill that dream for me in due time.

NOT being what you want is not a failure at all..maybe God has a plan for you which is better than what you want to do..as you said you have your grand son..i hope that he will be the one will fulfill your dream..but what you have as of now, you'll be content and should be proud off..having a family leaving with a simple but not complicated life is a blessing for me..

It is good that we have a dream, an ambition and set our mind to achieve something that is satisfying that can make us happy and lead a bright future in our long journey in our life! I did not plan my life when I am young. I just follow the winds and tides that bring me along till today. I do not achieve much at this stage of my life. I can't even buy a new car for my wife. I do regret for not planning my career and my future. I should have take charge of my life and do my best to provide for my family. As the saying goes :- 'If we do not plan, we plan to fail....' So, a piece of advise.. plan from today for a better tomorrow. Do not be like me, who just live the day as it is. Do not follow the saying " Whatever will be, will be" Cheers and take care.

I think I was 8 or 9 when I sat in a church service listening to our pastor talk. He was a great communicator and even though I didn't understand what he was talking about (like any kid my age then) I wanted to be able to stand in front of a lot of people and tell stories. Some 15 years ago, I said that I wanted to perform and write for a living. I'm doing both but not earning sufficiently for any subsistent living, but I am living that life. I have been a theater actor for some 4 years now and for 3 of those years, I wrote and edited for a publishing company that I started. I'm working for opportunities to write freelance and online though. What I do regret is not having learning enough about marketing or management or business. I could use that know-how to be able to start a business so I can earn while doing what I love.

everyone of us has a free-well to choose what we like to do in our life but we have to put trust in all to our God..so that he will give as an open minded to know what is right and bad..sometimes because to much confident to do all what we want to ourselves without even thinking that sometimes we have to fail..but our failure does'nt mean that we end our goals and dreams..

your right! for every decission we have, make sure that we put first all this in trust to God..for every move we make God must be the center of all..as long as we have on this earth, we suffer some failures and pain but glory to god because he is always there for us every time we need Him..

This is most important aspect that a person should address himself everyday. It is critical that a plan is made about what is to be done in life, to reach certain destination at certain stage failing which it is a big struggle to be going on at even where you are as I have discovered to my dismay. Thinking that I will take life as it comes, and not do anything particular to make situation change for better is like inviting trouble. Trouble may come someone's way while it may not at other's. But it is worthwhile to do something about what is happening now and how to change for the better. One can always say man proposes and God disposes! It is still necessary to propose something and let God respond. What is in our hands has to be excercised at all costs. As a child, life is much easy since most of the needs are met by parents and family. When a person starts a family, he becomes bread earner and becomes responsible for the wellbeing of entire family. This responsibility is faced by all and can be daunting to some, if the question is not addressed repeatedly.
