Paypal donation query

I have a question about whether something is allowed or not on MyLot. I put this donate button on my profile(because me and my family are hurting for cash, with the hopes that there are some kind people in this world) but im not sure if thats against the rules. I was looking at the guidelines and i didnt see anything that said i couldnt have it. Can someone tell me if i passed over it while reading the guidelines, if there is even a rule saying i cant have it?

hi mrcol1010 If we are not allowed to ask for donations in our discussions then we should not do it in our profiles either, this just stands to
reason. For one thing all of us here at times hit rough patches in our lives and need real helping hands, if they allowed us to ask for donations I imagine fifty percent of the discussions would be asking for hand outs. and to me thats really not fair.I know what you can do, you can send private messages to the people on your mylot friends list if you so
desire. but we cannot openly in discussions or I doubt in our profiles ask for money.My mylot friend Diana here has given you pertinent information in her response so I would heed it as she has had a lot of my lot experience here.

I will take your advice on the private messaging idea, but i am still going to wait until the mylot admins. respond. The reason being is i am not openly asking for donations. The button on my profile is just an option for people to donate if the wish to. It is not saying," Please give me money im really desperate." It justs gives people an option to donate if they wish to. I am not trying to sound disrespectful in anyway to any of you by the way, in case i sound that way. I am just stating the facts that are provided lol. :)

hi again I really do not know how mylot admins will fly on that. I
know the feeling of needing help and having no real idea of where
to go to get help. I would seek help from your church or from a Catholic church as the Catholics really do help anyone who asks for help.
As I just said I really am not sure what the mylot admins will say.
Maybe they will okay it. I just do not know.

Well i appreciate the concern Hatley, and i will try that out. I will most likely be taking it down in the next couple of days if the admins do not respond soon, because i will be afraid they will just delete my account instead of answering lol. :)

have you asked admin?
because they might put it under certain category that you miss somehow
I don't think helping will be against the rules here
but it depends how I guess

Hahah actually contacting the admins never even crossed my mind. I will try that, and i hope they will let me keep it up. Thanks for the advice LittleMel. :)
