US Open 2010, who will rise triumphant this year?

Who will it gonna be? Who will stand out and be the best among the best on the upcoming US Open 2010, the final grand slam tournament in tennis this year? Will it be Nadal, the only grand slam tournament that eluded him or will it be Federer that could make him his 17th grand slam? or the other way around? How about in WTA, will Kim Clijster defend her title this year? What do you think?

Cool! I'd like to see a fresh face in the finals this year. It gets boring when the same set of people win each year. Still looking for my dark horse...

I do hope Rafa Nadal wins it this time around so he can complete his grand slam collection. As for the Women's Tour Kim, Justin or Maria would be a nice change instead of the Williams sisters.

I think the Wimbledon signaled the start of the Nadal era. But for the sake of competition I hope that Federer has one last hurrah in him. Then we can have great US Open final with Federer taking on Nadal. On the women's front, Kim Clijsters won the last US Open riding on euphoria and adrenaline. I doubt if she will be able to defend her title this year. Cheers! Ram

I'm hoping for just abut anyone but Federer or Nadal. I would really be nice if were Roddick or some other American for a change.

It would be cool if Rafa does win this year so that he can be counted among the other greats that have accomplished winning all four slams. Although, it would be nice to see a new face winning the title too. Some of the other guys need some love too, what with Roger and Rafa raking up a lot of the recent titles. I just want to watch some good tennis. As for the womens, I can't really say. No one really has a monopoly on winning so it's pretty much up for grabs, I think.

I would vouch for Andy Roddick. It's true that his career wins is not fair compared to the amount of talent he carries for the game. Once a world number one but off late he has been coming good against great players but it's the new players that he hasn't played before giving him the trouble. I hope the crowd support would make him repeat of US Open 2003. As per WTA, I don't see any one coming close to upsetting Serana Williams. She is strong and powerful. I am sure her name in history books will remain for a long time. Going for both Americans.
