Why is it so hard for boys to clean up after themself?.........

I have 3 male children ages: 14, 15, & 20. Let me just say that it is not easy getting these 3 to clean up. I believe in giving credit where credit is due, so with that said, my 15 year old is the one who will try the most to clean up his room (whom he shares with his 14 year old brother) It's not like I never showed them how to clean, and I am definitely not a nasty person so why are they? I even posted notes on the kitchen and both bathroom walls but they just ignore them now.
I know I am not the only mother who feels this way. Please share your thoughts and this is for mommies who have daughters too! God bless : )

Maybe they are acting like that because you are letting them to do it!!!
stop cleaning after them and tell them that you are not gonna continue exposing yourself to their laziness and irresponsibility,you are not doing anything with those notes,your boys are passing along them like plane through cloud :))
