Hi,
A job interview (especially in today's economy) is a VERY stressful situation. What questions have you been asked at any job interview you ever had that were the most difficult to answer?

There are several difficult questions that asked by interviewers. Some of them being:
-what is your weakness.
-why should we hire you.
-give example of how you were able to handle a difficult situation in your previous job.
-if you are laid off-they would like to know reasons for it.
-explanation for gaps in employment history.

Hi Ravi,
Yes, those are all very good examples of tough questions. Gaps in employment history can be a really bad one to have to answer. Sometimes other people don't have a clue about your reasons for not working for extended periods of time. They just automatically think it is a bad sign and you had bad reasons. This is certainly not always true.
Thanks for your input and I hope you never have to answer those questions!

I have never been to a job interview but i feel the most toughest question is "explain to me why should I give you this job?"

Hi tinym8--
I was asked which state I thought should secede from the United States--on the face of it, a totally off-the-wall question.
After catching my breath, I replied that it was not for me to say whether any state should secede from the United States, that it was a constitutional matter to be decided under our system of government.
