An EVO 9: For Evolution IX the 4G63 engine gains Mitsubishi's MIVEC variable valve timing technology that improves top-end output as well as fuel efficiency. MIVEC technology allows GSR to return 10.0 km/l in the Japanese -15 mode driving cycle, equivalent to a three percent improvement in mileage. MIVEC is the one which will fuel efficiency better so it will save your fuel 5 times than the usual average 2.0L car that you have. On GSR, the turbocharger uses a lengthened diffuser to generate more low-end and mid-range torque (400 N-m(40.8 kg-m)/3000rpm) as well as bring a significant improvement in response (average 5%) across the full rev range. On the RS and GT, the turbocharger compressor uses magnesium alloy instead of aluminum alloy. This brings a dramatic improvement in supercharging response. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox with higher torque capacity, the engine has been tuned to generate maximum torque of 407 N-m(41.5 kg-m)/3000rpm. The 5-speed transmission used on the RS and GT derives from the close-ratio competition gearbox but has a revised top gear ratio for improved high-speed cruising. An Eclipse 2009 The GS model's 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine unchanged and teamed with a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic. which is the sprotronic mode of transmission fro Mitsubishi vehicles. It produces 162 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm. The GT's 3.8-liter V6 gets a dual exhaust for 2009, and now produces 265 horsepower at 5750 rpm, and 262 pound-feet of peak torque at 4500 rpm, a bump of 2 for each. Basically an Eclipse is much faster than the usual cars available with this kind of engine. The motor is matched to a standard 6-speed manual transmission or optional 5-speed automatic. Both engines employ MIVEC variable valve timing to help optimize efficiency and power across the engine's powerband. With all these features for these power cars! The Mitsubishi Evo is has a less price compared to the Eclipse. i will still choose an Evo for a one tough power ride!
