Lola, my big German Shepherd girl, is always asking for attention. She has to be everywhere, she has to be talked to, she thinks she is the only important person in the world.
Yesterday I went out with my camera to see if I could take some pictures of the Andes, so near my home and SO cold now that it´s Winter. I wasn´t planning more than a couple of pictures taken with a still camera so they came out ok.
I did not count with Lola. SHE was the important one. Who cares about the Andes mountains anyway? So she jumped at me every time I tried to focus the camera over my head and could only take a couple of bad pictures of the mountains. BUT Lola would not let me go until I took pictures (note the plural) of herself.
So I had to oblige. And just in case there´s a movie director here in mylot, I´m posting a picture of the star-to-be
Do you have an animal starlett at home? Share!!!

I don't think caycee knows anything about being a movie star because i don't make picture but she does want all my attention. She drives me nuts being like that & so jealous of everybody that comes. She's a spoiled brat.

Hi jo,
I´ve been having busy days cleaning up the house, taking my mom to the super (she invited my cousin and me to lunch at the super) and today it is my third grandson´s birthday.
Caycee is just waiting for a camera to come along, I guess. I don´t know why is it that our dogs are spoiled Who did that?
Nice weekend to you, sweetie!

Interesting, my duaghter has a naughty kitten, She names him 'spaceman,'Every time she goes to school, spaceman would follow her to the road and see her off. One time after seeing her off, she returned home and got ran over by our neighbour's son who learn driving,, My daughter after returning from school she found her best friend not to be there in his usual place. She cried bitterly and she regretted to this day that she did not take photoshot his favourite pet, spaceman. It is good to have home videos of pets. They make our life meaningful too.

I am SO sorry. I think people who are driving should be as aware of animals as they are aware of people. Most animals know how to protect themselves but when they are household animals they don´t know as well.
I lost my first dog (old age) but I mourned her for over a year and I still remember her.

My two little girls (Maltese) would love to be in the movies. They refuse to sit still for a photograph. Every time I get the camera ready to take their picture, they start running around or standing on their hind legs and jumping all over the place. I can't convince them that this is a STILL photograph I want to take.
I have dozens of fuzzy photographs of my girls. When I find them on my computer, I'll post one of them.
In the meantime, tell Lola that she's beautiful and will make an excellent movie star!

Proud? Well, yeah, but more exhausted. These girls keep me on my toes. VERY mischievous.

This is the most still they've ever been in a photo together.

I had a Boxer named Blue, all you had to say was picture, he would stand and pose.
My Bouviers like to have their pics taken.

My Lola doesn´t know the word "picture" yet, but she knows what a digital camera is.

This is a warming anecdote on a wintry-feel day, marguicha. You and Lola had great film bonding time, huh.
Canines are really good company and you never know what they would be up to. My Artemis just changed her profile - from single to in a relationship. Some wolf like dog had been frequenting our front gate for the past week now. My daughter told her friends our Artemis couldn't resist her boyfriend.

Hi eileen, Le´s say Lola wanted to bond, I wanted pictures of the mountains. Of course, she always wins. But she is such a perfect girl! Last night I forgot to give her food. It was very cold, I went to bed for a second to warm myself under the covers and fell asleep. Today I woke up, ran to take her food and she (darling!) was not as interesed in her food as she was to be petted.
So you are going to be a grandmother? I so want Lola to have puppies, but she hasn´t found the right Mr. yet.

She is a perfect candidate for the movie selection. If I make a dog picture, Lola will be the heroin. If possible, find a proper Hero for her.

Hi friend,
Lola herself has to find her Hero, but I would have to approve, of course. Misty, my first dog, had a BF at the door for weeks. But he was an elegant dalmatian. I had to forbid the match. Can you imagine the puppies?

There's an expression, "cats don't read, and they don't want you to either." They don't mess with my camera shots, but it does seem as if they want the most attention when I am trying to read.

Lola is beautiful and she knows it, she is very much aware already that she is a star! My dog Cassie does the same thing but I don’t know if she wants her photo taken or just my attention so she will get in the way of whatever it is that I’m trying to do! My cats on the other hand know darn well they are stunning and they will pose for me if they feel like it otherwise they will walk away with a look that says, “Take a message…” They still manage to get in my way though if I’m not focusing exclusively on them!

Lola needs by attention all the time. I bet that if I let her, she´d help me type at the computer. But she is an out of doors dog. She is much too big for my house and she´d destroy everything in two seconds. But when I go out she "gallops" in the garden. My youngest grandson is both thrilled and fearing of her. She´s much too big although she won´t harm anyone.

Domestic dogs inherited a complex hierarchy and behaviors from their wolf ancestors. Dogs are pack animals with a complex set of behaviors related to determining each dogs position in the social hierarchy and they exhibit various postures and other means of non verbal communication that reveal their states of mind. these sophisticated forms of social cognition and communication may account to their trainability

I did not want to take a picture of her yesterday. I wanted to take pictures of the mountains but she would not let me.
She likes me to take pictures of her.
Welcome to mylot!
