Two years ago I have a good job. Earning enough for me to enjoy life. Now for two years without work and my saving is down to almost zero balance and creditcard billing raising up. I realize how money shape our own joy and happiness in life. Believe me. You can do everything if you have money. They say money is root of all evil. I say money is our bridge to true happiness. .. Because even if you are in love but you have no money its like theirs still something missing. You want to buy things that you know will make him or her happy but you can't afford. You want to buy things for your parents or children but you better save that money for things that you need. In short survival. .. .. But know I realize. To be happy is to love what you have and do what you have. I can live in a tree and say I'm happy. At less I still have a tree.

In my own experience I can say that money is a big factor to happiness. They are connected. I cannot feed my family without money. I cannot send my children to school if I don't have money. I cannot go to work without it. I cannot fulfill my obligations without money. These are realities. Money becomes a root of evil if it is abused. Everything in this world becomes evil if abused. Money is a gift because it is earned, it is labored. But money is not equal to happiness. True happiness comes within. Money is just an aid to living.

And worse is that I only earn online. I don't know if you can consider this earnings as one way or another I loss it too because of the scammers.

Money is a necessity for life, believe me! I went years and years without money because I was in a controlling relationship, it was absolute hell. Not having any spare cash to meet up with your friends for a drink, not being able to save up for any of the things that you want, not having a holiday or a car - it all makes life rather miserable. You should always have a little bit of money spare because you never ever know what's going to happen.

I sometimes think that people who say that money can't buy happiness just don't know the right places to shop, but I'm kidding. Money may or may not bring about happiness, but it sure can bring about more peace of mind if you have money for health insurance, for food, for other necessities, etc. Not having money is very rough. On the other hand, that saying "love of money is the root of all evil" is, at least in my opinion, true. It's not the money that makes you happy or unhappy. It's when you love money above all else, when you put money above everything and everyone (although I don't mean that you do that, obviously you don't do that, I'm just quoting the saying because I do know some people around me who do that). So it's not money that is the culprit here. You need money in life, at least most people do, you need some money at least for peace of mind, but loving money above all else is really a good way to lose your soul. But I agree with you, money can help with happiness. I wouldn't want money at any cost, but I think, like me, most people would like to have enough to at least meet their everyday needs and wants and then a little extra. I'd love to have more money just to help out my family, if nothing else.

That is true. Although money is our security. It does not control what we feel or what makes us happy. Money is just a tool that we choose.

That because you never experience being poor. How old are you? Have you been in situation that your rent due is in two days and you still have no money to pay your rental due? Have you been in situation that your mother is sick and need to put in hospital but you don't have a cent in your pocket? Then I don't know how can you say that you are happy without money.

Money is a need... happiness is an emotion, money is only for the fulfillment of our needs. but cannot buy real happiness. happiness is an emotion you will find it inside your heart, with peace of mind.

If you buy flowers to give to someone you love you spend money right? So is it emotion or is it a need? Do you need to buy flower? But why you spend for it? Giving your family a house a car a jewelry. Is it a need? Or is it emotion? ... Peace of mind is when you think you fulfill your longing. And what is your longing? Happiness not by yourself but for your family.. And how can you achieve it? through money.

True happiness cannot be gained from material things. Yes money is important to be able to live and eat yet it is not the be-all and end-all of life. The best things in life- laughter, family, friends, good weather, nature are all free! Look at The Beatles- they were so successful and made so much money yet they were not totally fulfilled. They went to India and stayed in Rishikish and developed spiritual knowledge. George Harrison in particular became very spiritual and was very serene after developing a deep relationship with God. People who say money is the root of all evil probably refer to the fact that this association and preoccupation with money means our questioning about who we are and why we are here may not happen. People who are truly happy are content and satisfied with whatever they have. And to do this in a genuine way it is necessary to have some type of spirituality in life. Just my two cents :o)

Having money does not guarantee true happiness. Love for family friends, and your fellow man are the keys to true happiness. Don't let money rule your heart or your life.

Sorry to hear about your situation bulastika, I hope it will improve soon! The funny thing with money is, you don't apprechiate it enough when you have it, and only when it is gone or if you don't have it, do you see it's importance.

Money is what we need each day but no everything in our life.If we have a lot of money,we can purchase beautiful clothes we like, tour where we want experience, eat deliciouse food what we like.......But if we use it on the evil aspects,It will became something harm for human. So pls reasonable to earn and consume.

i used to have a good paying job last year and i enjoyed life to the fullest..brought things without minding the prices..went to places and spent a lot of money..yes i was happy... it feels good to be able to afford all the things you want...but when i stopped working and it's almost a year now without a job... i realized the difference... yes, it can be depressing..when you see things you want yet you can no longer afford it..it hurts..since i loved to shop... but i also realized that essence of true happiness... i can easily be happy with simple things..without money.. i'm now easy to please..and i also realized that doing things without spending a lot of money are fun...=)

i guess you are saying contentment is the secret to happiness and very well is. but the road to contentment is never easy as we human by nature wants to get more and more . only when we try to appreciate what we have and value things that money can buy that we can be content. i will not say i am totally contented in my life. but in a way it is struggle that i have been trying to fight. i wanna live a simple life, but the other part of me is still yearning to experience somehow it feels to get what you want, buy the things that you want. to show off to every body that you can buy the latest the trendiest, the coolest gadget and things out there. and to be able to flash to other people that you can afford to buy things and maybe to gain respect of other people. let us admit some people will respect you if you have more money, but if you don't have money that they may or try to look down on you.

Money can't buy happiness coz most of us saying that happiness is a feelings. And feelings touches the needs in order to live and support what makes us happy. If we are bothered with some problems facing those unpaid bills i'm sure we are not happy. And in this case we need money. So according to my own though money is the way to happiness but not the main source of this feelings. We need to balance the two because we both need them for life. One is material and another is a feelings. In real life if we don' have money to buy foods for sure we feel sad and think negatively towards life so there is no more peace of mind and body. The real happiness for me is the fulfillment of my basic needs. thanks and have a happy day!

Money is a basic need in our everyday lives. It could give pleasure in many ways but money Isn't everything for it is just only temporary. We can still find happiness without it in a simplest ways. Its doesn't mean that you have to earned more than what you have now just to make you happy. Well, just looking around in your surrounding you could find happy faces without many money seeing people smile back at you that's a great happiness within you.

They say "Fire is a good servant but a bad master" same applies to money , If you consider money as a means to fulfill life's need and to realize your dreams it's very good, but if your soul aim of life is centered around getting money by any means and spending it only on material comfort and may be fulfilling physical desires then it becomes " is root of all evil".

Money is really important for our human beings! But you know, if you don't have enough money to buy those expensive things, you can just buy some much cheap one. For example, if you want to buy clothes, you can choose to buy something which is not a famous brand, then you will not spend a lot!I usually do like this...
