I love chicken since i was a child and im still still enjoying it until now. Chicken has been an important part of my life since my mom used to cook me chicken to cheer me up. I love the way my mom cooks chicken. I wonder how do they cook chicken in other countries, do you also have a favorite chicken recipe or a chicken story you want to share? It will be fun to have a collection of chicken recipes. Here's one of the traditional Filipino chicken recipe called CHICKEN ADOBO or CHICKEN IN VINEGAR SAUCE. It's easy to do and very tasty. You can also try it. What you will be needing? 1 kilo whole chicken (or you can have your choice of chicken cuts, breasts, thighs, or wings, whatever you want) 3/4 cup white vinegar. ( we use white vinegar so it will have a lighter taste ) 5 to 6 cloves crushed garlic 2 pcs laurel or bayleaf 1 large onion sliced thinly. 1 cup water 1 tsp peppercorn 1/4 cup oil 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tsp salt Here's what you need to do Mix chicken parts, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, half of onion, and seasonings. Let it stand for atleast 4 hrs in the refrigerator. After marinating, add water to the chicken mix and bring to boil over stove at medium low heat. Let it simmer for around 45 mins or until the chicken is tender. Add water if needed. remove chicken form sauce, pat dry. Heat oil in a skillet, add the remaining half of onion and saute chicken until brown. Boil down the remaining sauce until it thickens.Toss chicken pieces. Serve with hot rice. Enjoy!
