Hi mylotters!
I am having a lot of headaches with my ISP-Globe/Innove. I am from the Philippines
and most of the times, we get banned from PTC sites which monitor IP addresses because
we are thought of cheating. Blame it on dynamic IP! :) --Well this isn't really my major concern at the moment because I have accepted that fact already that it is how it is here in the Philippines. And sure we can request for a static IP but the ISP will charge me for more. I can't afford that.
So, here's my real frustration--In a month I get about 4 times of no internet connection. Lucky if they can resolve your it within the day! Their usual response would be the usual trouble shooting standards (like I didn't bothering checking it first before calling them!) and if it won't succeed, that they will send a technician within the next 24-48 hours. Most of the times, they will. But there are times when they won't.
How do you rate your ISP? Are you happy with their service?

Sounds like your ISP are mafia
charging you more to get static IP? wow really? Why not try to change your ISP? Search for the better one that would worth your money for paying them

I wish I could say that to them.
In addition to their worst providing, I've experienced total loss of connection for more than 15days so I asked for a rebate. They said yes it will be reflected on your next billing. I pay P1,295.00 a month and the rebate I got was more or less P20.00. How's that?
Sure, I can change my ISP but they will charge me equivalent to two months of what I am paying monthly for pretermination. There's a lock in period of 12months.
And he line is quite long for the better one.
Such an infuriating story but that's a fact we have live with here in the Philippines..

wow sorry to here that mess from your ISP, that is too much for asking more fees just for a simple internet connection,but hope there are more realiable ISP over there so next time when you are ready to change you ISP your fees/cost will much worth it.

Been using Globe and Smart before,I told you there connection are not good
.I am always out of connection also.So I decided to apply for PLDT/DSL.Now finaaly I don't have problem with my internet connection.

Your provider are criminals! No one had to ask you more money for static IP!
