Is Limewire legal? / myLot

I've heard so many opinions about this that I would like an actual answer.thank you

No. That's why the court ordered Limewire to stop distrbuting media files. Limewire is also facing multiple complaints from several record producers.

It is legal but they dont have control on the data shared in it.

like the post above the software is legal but the files in there arent. but cant seem to think why they still havent been sued.
