To me, everytime I read the phrase 'naked eyes' I always envisage a beautiful naked woman in front of me, just because of the word 'naked'is mentioned. This is my literal understanding for naked eyes: that our eyes are naked when we do not use eyeglasses or see through a binocular or a microscope. Am I right? Correct me please and thanks for your answer. May God bless you.

That is a typically male fantasy; to envision a beautiful naked woman (LOL)! The naked eye is the eye without any aids in order for it see, no glasses, contact lenses, magnifying glass etc. When I hear the phrase I just think of an eye, a naked eye, I guess...Just an eye all by itself...

Actually, even with glasses it would still be considered "naked eye." Naked eye is a catchy phrase people use to describe the ability to see a planet or star or other very distant object without a telescope or binoculars when you would normally need those instruments to see it.

LOL. Naked woman in front of you? That doesn't come to my mind whenever I hear the words. Yes you are right about your LITERAL meaning of the phrase. The eye unaided by ANY optical instrument.
