That is not a scam, and it is real life story though. You might read the yahoo article about a high school senior student driving a porsche to school. All he did just swap things in craigslist, starting from a used cell phone which no longer used by his brother. He dedicated at least 6 hours a day in craigslist to find a satisfactory deal to swap stuff with people. They meet up and negotiate. After all these hard work, he got a Porsche, and he is the only one who driving a luxury car to school. After you read that, won't you feel amazing about how those young people with all these great ideas to make the difference in life? http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local-beat/Steve-Ortiz-Porsche-Craigslist-98865664.html

You can make a bit of a profit off of Craigslist, but it definitely takes time and patience. Where I live, there is a Goodwill outlet that sells all sorts of cheap furniture and clothing by the pound; I know many people go there to find things that they will resell. I did it once, having found a hexagonally shaped end table for $5. These are in demand for hex fish tanks, and someone bought it from me on Craigslist for $30. That's probably the biggest profit I've personally made. Really though, a Porsche is so useless, why on earth didn't he do something better with the money? I don't mean donating it, although that would be wonderful...

That's just unbelievable! Good for him, and that shows everyone patience is a virtue, which many people don't have today. I'm sitting here looking around at what I got to trade, haha! I hope this kid writes a book on how he did all this, I know I'd read it! He's got to have some tricks up his sleeve, awesome! Thanks for sharing, I thought it was great!

My sister in law doesn't work but she collects things people don't want. Well she has kind of made money off Craigslist selling things. I just started using it to sell things I don't need around the house. I don't have to put it in an or yard sale and it's free. She managed to sell old books that no one wanted to a person who collected antique books.
