how could someone afford to buy the latest cell phone model if there is no load maintenace? as in lol he does not have money in his pocket to buy load for his new mobile... i am talking about my friend who always asked me for a pass-a-load lol.. the reason is no money! as he spent all with his newly purchaced cell phone... what is this! do you save money just for cell phones or loads? For me, no! as I have more priorities than loads or buying new phone models!!

My latest cell-phone is a Nokia 3310. It phones, receives calls and sends text and that is ALL. It has been serving me daily for the last 6 years and I have no thoughts whatsoever of changing it for a new one. In fact I bought two when I bought this one. They were on special offer as they were 'old' models My money is not spent on phone calls unless they are necessary. I can call for free from my land-line so I call mostly from there

lol.. well my friend is a trendy guy and i don't think he is on the right time this time... even if it necessary, i would prefer to use the cheaper way to communicate and that is by texting but sure enough to make miss calls for assurance that they recieve my message...

yes its true here in the Philippines before we used texting message for emergency, but now if we convert our cellphones into mobile it will free calls only nationality not outside, whenever you go in the city, you call free through landline and business calls.

thanks for your response.. for emergency purposes we better make a call than sending a text message....

hi kumar my son was here awhile ago and talking about cellphone plans and such. He has a slimmed down version and some sort of plan that is cheaper than the other plans. He does not have the latest version as he just got a new job after having been laid off for a yr and a half so he is still economizing which is really good to hear. I do not have a cell phone as I have very limited funds but I do have a landline phone on an a t and t senior discount so it never costs me over 8 dollars a month. But I am sure I can buy one one day on a slim plan of some sort.

When I buy a new cell phone I always do it on subscription. Much cheaper, and no top up problems. I'd rather have a cheap cell phone than an expensive one and monthly uncertainty on whether I will be able to use it.

nice to hear that Diamania. here, i seldom see expats like us availed the monthly payment basis or subscription as most of us preffered the international roaming with our local network provider (based from where we came from) for receiving and sending text messages only.

Huh? He has anew phone but he can't use it for communicating cause he can't load it. hmmm.....I buy phone with the model that i think is useful to me. As long as it can call and text and it has camera and music player, I will go for it. It doesn't have to be expensive. I just need a camera cause I don't have digital cam.
